Tailwater etiquette

Does anyone ever run into people on tailwaters who have no etiquette? How many time have you been working a small stretch of water and had some yahoo walk right through a run or stop at fish 15yds from you? This has gotten to be the norm on the Holston. Especially happens when you are slaying the fish. I have gotten to the point where I say something. I am not rude about it, I just try and explain there are miles of river available and you dont need to be so close.

Had a friend once who would make weird noises along with making a few crazy and spastic, out of control casts. Within a few minutes folks would reel in and go somewhere else. I think they thought something was wrong with him---which is exactly what he wanted them to think. It worked!

Malcom,

I have a great bass pond about 5 min from your work here in lexington. We have have been destroying them. I have 2 float tubes with fins so you are welcome anytime. Maybe one evening after work? Call me, I am in the book.

Jeff,
I would love to. You'll need to tell me what to bring fly wise...not much of a bass fisherman I'm afraid. You and Tom need to go over to TN w/ me. I just got a new drift boat and need some "victims" to fish with me.

Malcom,
Just say when you want to hit the Holston. Tom has every other week off from the hospital. They just need to release some water. It has been very low. What kind of boat did you get? Hyde, Clacka,,,ect???? Also, are you usually at the store or down at the offices. I will stop by soon.

Jeff,
I'm in the corporate office down the street. I sold the woody and bought a Boulder Boat Works boat made out of a polymer like they're using in kayaks now. Rocks don't seem to hurt as much as they used to.

When the sulfurs get going and the fish get up on them at high water we'll have to go. I had a lot of fun last year fishing to pods of risers in the late summer during high water.

I will stop by next week, I am heading to Chicago this week. Tom and I were on the Smith Tusday evening and the caddis and sulphers were heavy. They were killing the caddis emergers then honed in the suplher duns.
