SOUTH HOLSTON

Good day on the Holston, though challenging. We caught 8 fish, landed one reel screaming rainbow on a Blackfly larva, hooked up on two reel screaming rainbows --one broke off that we never saw, and the other we landed a 15-16" rainbow on a #24 Adams, the fish was rising, and on flat water. Heavy BWO (#20 Baetis) hatch in the early to mid pm hrs, lots of rising fish. Scuds and blackfly larva, and size 20 dark pheasant tails are the deal and will get you some action. Good beetle fishing on the banks is imminent!
