Smith River 7-11-2006

Guided Trip VA, Neal Mitchell, Summerfield, NC., we started our day before sunrise and fished in heavy fog for several hours, the first hours of the day were pretty tough, but things finally got going and did so quite quickly. For the most part we pounded the banks, and Caught probably 15 browns , the browns here are the most gorgeous on earth. We had several others on as well, the river was in great shape and finally back to its usual clear after all the heavy rains of late. Neal did a great job, and what a pleasure to fish with someone who can cast! These fish are as tough as any anywhere, a place where 10% of the anglers catch 90% of the fish.
