I'd much rather the original format though. Celebrities 'helping' people hide is all a bit rubbish.
It's interesting that they have a subbed version. Wonder if they just did the one episode to send out to companies to watch, or if they've done lots to sell as a series?
Still like to know how it's "A format that's a global sensation". Unless there ARE versions being made in other countries? Hmmmm...?

I wouldn't call it a global sensation either. Especially because I think that not many people from western countries know that show. Hole in the Wall was a kind of global sensation because everyone watched it on YouTube, which isn't the case for Million Family.
I wonder which channels will buy the rights. The American remake could be something for abc, especially after Wipeout and I survived a Japanese gameshow. The Japanese version with subtitles could be broadcasted by G4.

I think we're probably the only site that even talks about it! The only non-Japanese one anyway. I've never found another anyway. No videos are ever uploaded (unless they had Hello! Project members in). So yeah, I can't see how it's a gobal sensation 
It SHOULD be, but it's not!
I'd love for it to be on Challenge. I think it'd fit perfectly on there, with their usual Takeshi/Ninja/Banzuke style voice-over. It'd be brilliant.
They are selling them as full shows (including all the other sections, like the Mouse Game  ):

Wonder why they've changed the name? "Million Family" is a lot better than "National Family Challenge", which is just boring.

To be honest, I'm not sure if it would work as a daily show. Takeshi's Castle, Ninja Warrior and Unbeatable Banzuke do, but Million Family doesn't. Once a week (or once a month if it a 2 hour version) would be good.
And I agree with you: Million Family is the better name. But if there is a local version produced for America, you can't name it Million Family.. because you can't win 1 million Dollar.

Maybe not if it was just Hide and Seek every day on its own, but if they included all the other games too, I think it'd work (Mouse game, Monkey IQ game, Power Ranger Dad game, etc).
But yeah, if not then Hide and Seek once a week would be great!
