Re: Ninja Warrior at RTL2
Weird. You'd have thought they'd have sorted out how they're going to do it before recording the show properly!

Re: Ninja Warrior at RTL2
I'm not really sure if there will be a second season of in Germany. Yesterday it rated 4,4% in the target audience.. RTL's average rating is about 6%.. but then, it rated much better than other shows in the afternoon and so there could be a chance for a second series. Maybe yesterday's ratings were just a faux pas.
But sometimes it's really funny.. well they still make stupid jokes and talk about theirselves and not about the game, but it's getting better... the last days the made joke about their work on Ninja Warrior.. e.g. "the people will write bad things about us on the internet because of your bad jokes" or "even Bunpai (who was shown sitting in front of a PC) is writting a complaint mail"

Re: Ninja Warrior at RTL2
That's a shame
Series two isn't as good as it's all the old competitions (well, apart from the next 2 Kunoichis), but series 3 was great.
Fingers crossed they do get more.

Do you think they have read people don't like them then?!
If they have maybe they should try and do something about it?

Well it is possible. I think I will write an email to bumm film, not about if they read what people thinks about the commentary, but about my thoughts..
and I like them very much these days.. there are so many jokes about RTL2 or their work. e.g. the "Bridge of Blades" is called dancing bridge, the same name used for the balance bridge (you can read the original name in the inserts though). Today one guy asked why they called dancing bridge, while the original name is Bridge of Blades. Then the other guy said when we use the term blade, they will censor us. A few day ago, one asked why they cut some obastacles out and the other one answered "Did you expected anything else".
The refered to RTL2's way of censoring nearly every show. Scences of violence is cut out (e.g. they cut out 13 episodes of Dragonball GT and shortend all other episodes) and words like "die" are replaced with "sleep". Therefore people won't be killed in Naruto, but they were made asleep.

Re: Ninja Warrior at RTL2
Glad they're improving anyway!
I know how annoying censoring is. Challenge went mad at one point a few years ago and muted so much of Craig's commentary on Takeshi that it sounded so stupid. It would just suddenly mute and then appear again.
I think they may have fixed that now by just fading Craig out and keeping the original sound. They definitely did that in Mushroom Trip in the Revenge of the Emerald Guard episode anyway. It's just original sound in the place where Craig did the "... and land in the sh it............ake" joke.
Also the pig in Tug of War was only ever shown once, the first time the episode was broadcast, and has been cut off ever since!

How do you know the pig was only shown 'once'?

Re: Ninja Warrior at RTL2
Because there were complaints on the Challenge forum the night it was shown and they said they'd remove it for repeats.

Re: Ninja Warrior at RTL2
On Wednesday the episode Makoto completed stage 4 was broadcasted. Was really amazing.
Maybe the two voice over guys read that I like their jokes about themselves.. there are really a lot of these jokes now. Some examples from this week:
"We're lucky that our contestants can't speak German, because they would sue us if they knew what we are talking about them"
"I really wonder, why they don't fire us. Instead of comment on the show, we use the show for our private chit-chat"
when a contestant failed you heard the japanese reporter laughing and one guy said: "the viewers should complain about him and not about us"
