Re: Total Wipeout... France
Are there any explicit information about the ratings. They must have been very bad, because they axed it during the series. So I guess France is the first country to do so.

Re: Total Wipeout... France
Quite surprising but a second series is on the cards, but with a few tweaks to make it "less repetitive".

Quote: Total Wipeout: Season 2 returns on M6?
According Program tv.net, Total Wipeout, the game presented by M6 Stéphane Rotenberg and co-hosted by Sandrine Corman and Alex Goude, deprogrammed this summer for lack of adequate hearings, would get a second chance. A Season 2 is currently in preparation.
Aired in prime time on M6 every Friday, the game Total Wipeout, sort of Intervilles crazy, presented by Stéphane Rotenberg and co-hosted by Sandrine Corman and Alex Goude, allows anonymous 24 candidates to cross an obstacle course of more impressive and crazy. The aim is to avoid bowls ( "wipeout" in English) which will be obviously be many!
After a summer start of the most promising (3.3 million viewers), the game of the crazy events M6 has seen its audiences decline in premium premium (minus 1.3 million). This significant reduction has been due to the issue which, even before the release of the final Wipeout Golden, rewarding the best candidates, has been canceled in favor of the series flagship chain NCIS.
The 2 co-facilitators Sandrine Corman and Alex Goude, which is found soon on M6 to issue commands to France's an incredible talent, admit that a second season, less repetitive, is currently in preparation but it is currently not yet assured.

Re: Total Wipeout... France
They should axe the extra crusher then. But I can't imagine that a season 2 is less repetive. The US season 2 lacked a bit of variation, which was only less obivous, because they changed the production order and mixed both halfs of season 2.

Re: Total Wipeout... France
They did copy Washout though, which is why it was so repetitive. That's what you get for being stupid enough to copy such a bad version. Hopefully they'll follow America for their second series.

Re: Total Wipeout... France
That really IS Total Wipeout, with a replay on EVERY wipeout (even on the bloody start ramp). Though, it's still better than Washout as it has the Combo Towers and single, proper, Wrecking Ball Dreadmill. Which even has an evil face.
