Now we know Australia and France have almost certainly been axed - I've a feeling Germany might have been as well from the feedback I saw.
Marcus Wolter, CEO of endemol Germany, said in an interview that they feel confident that Wipeout could have good ratings, especially because the first few episodes were a rating success. So he said that they want to work on that show. However, ProSieben never mentioned Wipeout again and no casting process is running.
As far as I know Switzerland never aired their own version of Wipeout. At least I can't find any information on the website of the Swiss Television and that is probably the only channel that would consider to produce a Swiss version.

Re: Wipeout around the World
I've not heard anything about any other country filming more series'. Only America and the UK, obviously.
Maybe it didn't work as well everywhere else in the world as hoped?
It is strange that some countries have brought the rights but still haven't filmed yet. The courses will (hopefully) have been updated by the time they get around to it!

Re: Wipeout around the World
Yeah, some Swiss took part in the German Big Brother and people from Switzerland and Austra can also vote to evict (though their numbers and the possibility to take part in that show were not advertised), but the rights were not sold to an Swiss channel.
If you have a satellite dish you can watch every German TV channel and the major channels also have special Swiss version with different ads and a few other programms. So all Swiss people can watch Big Brother on RTL2 or could watch Wipeout on ProSieben. I guess you could also watch Total Wipeout France in the France speaking parts of Switzerland.
However, there is the possibility that they make their version, like they have already done their own Big Brother. And I think that is what Wikipedia claims: a local version, but in my eyes highly unlikely.

Re: Wipeout around the World
Apart from that the UK version is ****, why do they want to broadcast a copy, if they can have the original one. That makes no sense to me. Maybe the rights for the UK version were a lot cheaper to buy.

Re: Wipeout around the World
They're probably giving Washout away, as no one wants to buy it
I wonder how they're going to do it anyway? They'll have to subtitle it. Unless they edit in their own hosts? What a waste of effort for something so bad.

Might be an improvement.
--- 'Wassuck' is an actual word from Black Country meaning 'fool'.
