Blindfolded Square Maze
Just watched that episode on the German DVD. The voice over said Tani complained about the new blindfolded version (it wasn't arranged) and so all contestants (even the eliminated ones) were allowed to join the next game.

Wow, really? What was the "new version" before that? I thought there was only the regular Square Maze first?
I wish they were putting all the episodes on in order on these DVDs  Even if with these 'selected' episodes, they could have put the ones they've chosen in order in the DVDs. The wait for the next one is taking ages too!

Yeah, just I read Codex's post wrong, never mind.
Coincidentally, I watched the blindfolded Square Maze on the DVD too, on Friday. Wish they'd done it more. I can blame Tani now 
Although surely Takeshi should have kept it if Tani complained?

I guess something happened because the first German version had the correct numbers of contestants left and before SM there were as many contestants as after SM.

I know that episode, too, but frankly, I doubt this is true. The German commentator is making stuff up all the time, especially during Takeshi's conversations with his sidekick.

Well what we can say definitely is that no contestant is eliminated in that blindfolded Square Maze because the numbers of contestants shown in the insert wasn't changed.
Perhaps too many people were eliminated so they decided nobody was eliminated. Or everybody was so funny and they were allowed to take part in the next round (which is possible).
