Re-watching Series 4

We're reaching the end. It's series 4, which has some of the best episodes of all in. It's my favourite series anyway (including the specials), bar a few episodes.

Series 4 was indeed a great season. I am glad that it containes a few special episodes (and games), so we got them on the RTL2 episodes and I finally saw at least some bits emoticon

Yep, although those episodes are the ones that annoy me, as they're just clips from various episodes stuck together. And then they go and stick an old Show Down, which obviously they've shown before, on the end to make it seem like a proper episode emoticon

There was a LONG mute in Ep 3 in High Rollers. On the Cartier man. I couldn't think what they could have edited out that lasted so long, so I got out my OLD Best Ofs and there was nothing to get rid of emoticon

Craig says Cartier are very expensive, but that's it. All the rest of the time he doesn't even say anything at all. SO WHY has this been censored!?! emoticon

Terrible edit in High Rollers in ep 8 now. The split second the first contestant hits the water, it cuts to the next contestant, already on the third roller. What the hell have they cut out now!? emoticon

In the replay, you see that man (who it cut to on the third roller) start from the beginning, so it's obvious something got cut.

This is probably a really out their answer but, Craig goes on a rant that he knew a Steven Cartier and bassically tells this man's life story. My guess is that Challenge wanted to avoid geting sued by someone with the same name.

That's exactly what I thought when it happened, but then the sound came back the second he started the "I knew a kid called Steven Cartier" story! The muted bit is literally just "Cartier is very expensive" then 5 or 10 seconds of him saying nothing at all, with just the original audio. emoticon

Ah! It's the second half of this series that makes me really love Takeshi's Castle all over again:
Great episodes, lots of little extras left in, Craig's really into it AND on top form, he even (finally!) remembers who's who. When Shin was in Tug of War he said that "He's the guard who we usually see in red in Sumo Rings", he said the same about Jo too (in red, but then he corrected himself to yellow), he knows who Takeshi is, AND AND AND - he realises that it's Takeshi in the plane in the Show Down. emoticon

It was about time emoticon He only needed 100 episodes, so congratulations Craig! emoticon

And I agree with you. Second half of season 4 is maybe the best part of the UK version. One of my favourite moments ever: Animal falling out of his rickshaw in Buggy me. emoticon

Yeah, the Buggy Me ep was the last one last night!
That's one of my favourite episodes all together. I also love the bit in Karaoke (but it's because of Craig) when the girl in green who doesn't know the song walks out the door, but turns back round: "She tells the boss he's a wazzock" *Replay* "She tells the boss he's a wazzock again" emoticon

You also actually see the Battlefield Reporter talking to someone in Match Maker. Probably the only time he's really left in a Challenge ep.

That's it. All the regular episode shave been shown.

Most random Ridiculous Replay ever has to be from Flag Down. It's just to listen to the "funked up Star Wars theme" emoticon
