I find people here have a very skewed and incorrect perception about the beauty/glamour/excitement/open-mindedness of America, but it's simply not true.
yeah. But that's down to 'the media', as usual! Mainly because of all these people who are obsessed with celebrities, and think America is so amazing because the "all" live there.

Ah, I've found that out a bit mysef from posting the Ninja Warrior videos on YouTube. Some of the comments Americans leave about Stuart (our voice-over on Challenge) shows this 'apprehensive'ness. Although I wouldn't put it like that for those people who comment - they're compliantly ignorant and lots of the time mean, so I end up deleting half of them. But then again, people who post comments like that on the internet are different from everyone else anyway!!
Sorry, went off on one a bit there, just those people annoy me. I'm sure if Stuart say some of the things I delete he'd be really offended.
Just a quick question, but do most Americans thing people in England all talk either posh or coc kney and love drinking tea? It seems like that sometimes

german people think it's a typical british behaviour!
but many people in the world think that all germans wear leather trousers and go to the "oktoberfest" but of course we don't^^
a very bad thing is that germans in foreign countries are often called "nazis" or they are welcomed with the hitler salute, because that's the only thing they know about germany!
that's very sad and it shows, that people are often narrow-minded...

Re: 'ello, ello
Well, sadly there is some prejudice to Germans. But every country has it's specialities which are carried to other countries (eg. USA --> overweight, England --> drinking tea, awful food, Germany --> Sauerkrauts (that's some food considered typically German but it tastes really good *smiles*). I think it's best to just visit other countries and making off your own mind. I like British food although I must say, chips (I don't mean the frensh fries, I mean crisps as you call them in England) with salt and vinegar taste are really awful and as far as I know you can't get them in Germany.
Btw: Welcome to the forum to get back ontopic .
