I hate tea, but I like Salt and Vinegar crisps emoticon I don't really eat crisps, but probably have S&V mostly when I do.
Pickeled onion crisp-type things are the best though (like Monster Munch).

another thing which is often associated with Britain is the strange sense of humour^^

in our last lesson before the holidays our englisch teacher showed us one episode of the british comedy series "hyperdrive", which he really loves.

he was like:emoticon oh my god, it's so funny, lmao! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

and we all were like: emoticon ok, what's so funny about their jokes? emoticon emoticon

so i think you britains really have a strange sense of humour! emoticon

I'm British but I don't like hyperdrive or almost any modern comedies. Hyperdrive is just a cheap remake of red dwarf imo.

@Donna: You are right. In Germany we call the British humor "black humor" (Schwarzer Humor). I must say Mr. Bean is really funny. I really like that series. In comparison the Belgian humor is even worse, an exchange student from Belgia showed us a short movie about their sense of humor and nobody could laugh about it because for foreign people it's kind of strange and not funny. We've already been warned by her before that only Belgian people can laugh about it *smiles*.

I've seen advrts for Hyperdrive and it doesn't look funny at all. Not all English peple find rubbish like that funny emoticon
And yeah, I agree with Lion, no modern comedies are funny. I can't think of one I like.

Obviously I find Paul O'Grady funny and Harry Hill on You've Been Framed and TV Burp makes me laugh out load. I never liked him before those shows, but no I think he's one of the funniest comedians there is.

Clip from TV Burp:

With the follow up a few weeks later:

Aaah, you'd have to have been there emoticon

Also seeing Yvette on that Ear Cataracts clip, that's something else that makes me laugh out loud - Most Haunted. And it's not even meant to be funny. emoticon

Friends and The Royle Family are the most modern comedieds I like and they were about 5 years ago. The modern comedic things I like is comedic shows like Harry Hill and have I got news for you.
