Re: Site Info
Maybe we've nuked the fridge instead then, Sonic? (Thanks Susie Dent).
Btw, we haven't.
We've not jumped the fridge either. But I have nuked the shark now though. That's it. It's dead.

Yes, that phrase has rather gotten lost in translation in recent years. I think it's being increasingly used to describe a decline in quality rather than pure outrageousness intended to avoid same. That means a decline in quality here just because there's no more TC. Which is rubbish. As I said, Ninja and Banzuke have taken care of that.
Anyway, enough arguing children!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
, , , and is the pure outrageousness intended to avoid same. (What ever the sane part is.)
What i'm trying to say is that there are a ridiculuos amounts of minisites at the momment that are there just to keep viewers interested. ('Boosting the ratings in 2006', like Dan says.), li
Some (Like the Haromoni shows, Viking and Bansuke) don't even deserve a thought of getting a site. Viking was the worst example. We knew it was just a ripoff of Ninja Warrior, and had only been on for a couple of years; being doomed to fail from the start.
Although you think that , and made up for the lack of keshi, Dan's just made it become "irretrievably past its best by introducing some ridiculous or otherwise unbelievable plot device or characterisation in order to boost ratings".
Hopefully there is a small chance of you understanding my arguement this time around.

Re: Site Info
No, not at all. That's just your opinion. Just because you don't like the shows doesn't make what you're saying true.
Why don't 'Haromoni shows', Viking and "Bansuke" deserve the thought of getting a site? Because you don't like them. Oh sorry, I should have asked you first.
The 'mini sites' (which they aren't anymore, they're proper sites in their own rights) weren't made to 'boost ratings' as there was nothing wrong with them in the first place. As I said, it was only the end of LAST YEAR that the views started to go down - AFTER all the 'new' sites went up. LONG after Haromoni, Ayaka, Ninja and Viking. So there your argument loses the point. How could these have been added to save the site when there was nothing wrong in the first place?
Actually, the site views started to go down in October. Haromoni ended on the last week of September. Make of that what you will *smug grin*
However much you dislike shows it doesn't mean they shouldn't have a site. That's what's REALLY annoys me about your posts. I’m sure you watch a lot of stuff I don't like, but I'm not going to tell you how much I dislike them from a one-sided, bias point of view like you are.
I LOVE HAROMONI AND AYAKA. So what? I really like Viking. So what? I like Banzuke too. So what? So: I added them to the site because I liked the shows and wanted to 'honour' them with sites. That's the reason. End of.
You don't like them. That's your prerogative, but don't go posting stupid things like that.
... Oh, and also Viking isn't a rip-off. I was made by exactly the same company that makes Sasuke as they wanted a more regular series.
Going by that reasoning Ninja is a rip-off of Banzuke - again completely going against what you've been saying
These sites aren't going anywhere. In fact they're more part of Keshi Heads than Takeshi is now, and always will be unless something big happens in Takeshi-land, which is unlikely. And before you say "Keshi Heads is called that because it's Takeshi's Castle, not the other shows" (or whatever), then yes, that's because the site started off as a Takeshi site. It's been there since that start as it was the start. There's only so much juice you can squeeze out of a fruit, and Takeshi's Castle has been sucked dry and shrivelled up after 5 years. If there were something new then BRILLIANT, but until then there's nothing more I can do.
The site has expended over the years so that there's something new to update. That's why. I chose the shows I did because I liked them. Simple as that. No further explanation needed.
I can't be bothered to argue anymore. However much you want to use the phrase "jumped the shark" (which has pretty much been rung dry of any meaning over the years, especially recently) - IT HASN'T. I'm not just saying that because I don't want to admit it, I’m saying that because, well, it hasn't; however much you want to try and make the description fit your opinion - which you haven't even done very well.

Re: Site Info
Sorry Sonic, I'll have to agree with Dan.
They're just fan sites. Dan doens't make any money from creating these websites, he just wants to sort of show his appreciation for some television shows he quite enjoyed. He probably wouldn't make a Big Brother website to boost ratings for the site because he doesn't like Big Brother. But again Dan doesn't really have a reason to "boost ratings" since he makes no money from the site. Not a cent. I always tell him he should put google ads on and at least try but he doesn't as he says it'll ruin the website for the people who want to view them.
The site hasn't been so popular recently, but we still get visitors who come just to look at takeshi stuff. Some come just for Harmoni@. People find the "mini"-sites from searching and being a fan of that show. And that's their choice.
I think it's good to have a mix of shows. Yes Dan could have them all be different fan sites but since most don't get many views there isn't much point in not grouping them together under the main site owned by Dan.
Jumped the Shark - Probably not.
Become not the most popular - Probably.
Brought happiness to one or 2 people who really like a show and can't find anything about it anywhere on the web only to come on and find pretty comprehensive sites - I think yes.
And for that, we should probably all thank Dan for giving up his time and enabling us to enjoy these varied, but all great, shows.
(Psst Dan, you should maybe think about delaying those other 86 mini-sites you were about to debut...)

Ok I give up. It's just that it's turned from a Takeshi's castle into a site full of minisites. grrrrrrr.

Re: Site Info
Ninja Warrior and Viking fit to Takeshi's Castle very well. Here in Germany media magazines talked about Ninja Warrior as a Takeshilike replacement and many people think it is a related show. And when people talked about Viking (well, there are not many people who Viking in Germany because it's Pay-TV), they compared it with Takeshi. So why not run these under the Keshiheads-label when it is obivously a similar show.
And I thinks it is a good idea to run haromoni and Ayaka unter the KH label, because Takeshi's Castle is something like synonym for Japanese (game)shows... at least here in Germany. If you don't like them, don't watch them. But I do what keke says:

But what about the Countdown site, and the Come Dine with Me one? They're great. I was going to upload them this weekend!
The Richard and Judy one is pretty good too What a waste.
