Glad To Be Here Just wanted to pop in and say Hello to all the other Mara-chan fans here. I'll make sure to tell all my friends about this great webcomic.
Ranma 1/2 is a consistently good (which is rare for such a long one) anime... and of all the characters, I think Kasumi would be the most frightening to make truly mad.

Is your nickname short for Kasumi Tendo from Ranma, or 10 like the number?
Yes, it's a variation of Kasumi Tendo. At the time Ranma 1/2 was my favorite anime series and Kasumi my favorite anime character (and still is although Maison Ikkoku has taken my number 1 series spot). However, when I went to register a name for aol just about everything involving Kasumi was taken. So I shortened the Tendo to Ten. About a year or so after that someone told me that Ten is Japanese for heaven and asked me if I meant that Kasumi was heavenly. And of course my thinking is, wouldn't it be heavenly to have lots of Kasumi sweetness. So I always kept it as is. Plus I'm a moderator on another board and people have come to know me as KasumiTen the BoardMommy. I'm too attached to it now.
Re: Glad To Be Here Nice, thanks to you and that bit of info, I have decided that in my manga the high school will be Hanaten High (Heavenly Flower High).
We were in a big debate over the name, but you cured us!

Re: Glad To Be Here I'm teaching myself Japanese, and soon I'm going to start getting lessons from a native who came to the U.S. for college and cultural studies, and she wants to learn English better... so its an exchange... I teach her good English, she teaches me good Japanese.
However, I'm currently busy working on character designs for my manga (appearance, everything else is done) so I haven't had much of a chance to work with her.
