Re: Sweet digs, Dood!
You have yet to experience what fear really is prinnyofantioch, until I have unleashed a philisophical flame upon you.
For while weeding through its many words, you will not be sure whether or not you were insulted or not, but you definitely come off with the feeling... mwahahahahahaa!!!!!
Plus they tend to be like 9 pages long... that in itself is frightening.

Re: Sweet digs, Dood!
How is that frightening... C++ = <3!
I love C and C++... the only thing I don't like about code, is when you have to read or debug spaghetti code.
You know, 90% of the idiot code out there...
USE THE FREAKING RETURN KEY ONCE AND A WHILE PEOPLE!!!! AND WHAT ABOUT THAT TAB??? HUH??? WHAT ABOUT IT???

Re: Sweet digs, Dood!
I was wondering how you found this place, prinnyofantioch.
However, I don't really know the terror/joy of computer programming, but I will once I get back to school in August. My specialty is video and audio editing, not computer programming.

Re: Sweet digs, Dood!
Which do you prefer:
- Final Cut Pro 4 on a G5
- Premiere Pro 1.5 on a tricked out Pentium/AMD
Personally, while Premiere makes you go through a bunch of options EVERY time you start a new fricken project, it has proven far more versatile, stable, and quick for me. Although the quickness could just be my computer compared to the G5s at my college.
When I was taking video editing courses (still sort of am every so often) I was so frustrated with how limited Final Cut Pro 4 (HD edition) was for things like text effects/animation, graphicals, advanced filters/effects, and how few of its shortcuts were actually listed/documented.
Whats the point of a shortcut if you only figure it out on accident, and then don't know what the hell you just did???
Premiere at least lists them all, and it has so much more effects/animation controls to play with... although you still need AfterEffects for the really spectacular stuff, I was far more satisfied with Premiere. Plus its requirement of all the options each time DOES help prevent idiots (like me) from not changing their scratchdisk and stuff... and you can set it up to automatically use different locations for each project, so when you start it up, you don't need to change it like in Final Cut.
