At last I discover this...
I'm Kent Magami, and I know Joe from way back. I was there when Mara-chan and Bunny first sprang from his skull (which wasn't nearly as gory as you might think--there wasn't much else in there  ) back in that round-robin story he mentioned elsewhere in this forum. Way to go on making it into a web-comic, you two! I'm so proud... *snif*

*tickle-fest continues with Kumi relaliating while Kent and others just stand there and sigh...*
<Miko> Um, just ignore them...I'm sure Magami-san'll be writing our story *any* day now. Yep, any day now.
Yeah, no pressure...anyway, congrats on the comic--I like it a lot, though Mara and Bunny are a bit different from how I remember them...not to mention Kyle.
 I'll let Joe explain about that...

Since prettymuch everyone won't know what the heck is going on here...
WAY back when, we were all in the Ranma 1/2 forums. At the end of our posts we would each have a 'Signature'. One of the posters started having little fictional conversations with characters in his signatures. So I had some characters of my own say stuff to his characters and eventually these posts got out of hand (the signatures got larger than the actual posts).
So we and a few others migrated to our own list and named it... The Sigwars (short for Signature Wars). The characters became known as 'Sigs' (Kinda like Sims I guess). We wrote ourselves into the stories sometimes, and we were called the 'authors'.
Eventually, Mara-chan and Bunny came from these random rantings, and they slowly evolved into the comic you all (hopefully) read.
Miko, Junko and Kumi were three of Magami's characters.
Oh yeah... Magami was the 'old man' of the group. I feel young again! ^_^
<Mara-chan> Young... Heheh.
<me> Don't start!
*Bunny waves to Miko "Hi... Gotta behave in here though. Unless Author gets the bright idea to start up the 'Wars again.

I have more than 10 friends who would join this forum merely for the sake of turning it into a hilarious forum war zone...
In short, I have quite a large amount of experience with similar things, particularly from RP fourums.

Oh, no, not another war... 
No, seriously, the idea sounds interesting, but Joe and Dottie might take exception to having their forums thus hijacked...
Now, if they had a forum set aside specifically for such things, that'd be another story. (No, I'm not hinting, Joe!)
The original Sigwar was email-based, and for a good reason--some of those story posts were freakin' *long*! If a war here gets like the old war, I dunno if the poor little forum could take it.
We had long, drawn-out drama, melodrama, action, humor, romance, crossing almost every genre there is (okay, we stayed away from the hard-core porn  ).
Joe did a count a bit ago, and he found that there were a total of 18 "Sigwarriors", though not all were with us at the same time. Between the lot of us, we had well over 100 characters involved in the 'Wars. Can you imagine how complicated that got?
Some of the characters were 'ported dircectly from various sources (anime, Star Wars and other SF series, books, etc), while a surprising number were original characters (like most of mine, and a fair number of Joe's, including Mara and Bunny).
The Sigwars lasted for several years--a lot longer than most things like this do, I understand--but eventually, like all good things, it came to an end. For a while, some of us continued RPing our Sigwars characters in IRC, but various things (RL mostly) caused us to lose contact with each other. The Sigwars died a natural death, but it was great while it lasted. I still have fond memories of that time, and I suspect Joe does, too.
Switching the topic slightly, I have to admit I was slightly shocked when I saw Mara-chan and Bunny in the comic. They're definitely different from the versions I'd gotten used to in the 'Wars. Mara-chan was very sweet-tempered back in the day, and I was a bit nonplussed by the streak of violence the comic version has shown. And of course, I almost fell out of my chair the first time I saw the word '*****' come out of Mara's mouth. 
As for Bunny...let's just say that the previous version had much stronger hormones, and scandalized her sister way more often. (Kyle was a happy guy...happy and tired. )
Kyle is also different in the comic, partially because Joe and Dottie haven't done much with him yet, and partially because this version is an ordinary (if athletic) human, rather than a superpowered fighter like the one I had in the Sigwars. Let's just say that his full name is Kyle Zorel, and mention that his last name is a clue to what he could do...)
Hmmm...this went on a lot longer than I'd originally intended. Sorry to be so long-winded! I'm done now.

No wars in the forums, please.
Oh, and *I* had over 100 characters in teh sigwars... I think we had upwards of 500 from everyone combined...
But that's also counting one-shot characters, 'walk-ons', cameos, etc and characters like "random stormtrooper"
Just an FYI...
In the stories, Bunny eventually married Kyle and they had 10 kids (by last count).

I wasn't counting one-shots or generics like Random Stormtroopers. Just the ones that had significant "screen time".

Geez, I can't even remember... Goddesses.. Me, Ukyo, Shiko, Mara-chan, Mara, Bunny... those were the MAIN. Until IRC when it became Mara, Mara-chan, Bunny. Bunni, SC, LM, Poddy, Nezumi, Mirai, Kyle Jr, the Scouts...
