Re: May 12 updates

Wow... I would love to take pictures, since I'm an amatuer photographer (I'm more than good enough to get a good job, 'cept I don't like studio photography, and journalism photography is boring as all heck, and that just leaves photography for the sake of the photograph, or for National Geographic, both of which are almost pointless objectives unless I get my name known... but I just do it for fun, so I don't care)

Unfortunately, I won't be there, AND I'd need to buy some more equipment (I've been looking into it... cause I don't do flash photography, I'd need about $80 [cheap] to $300 [good stuff] before I could take some really spectacular wedding photos)

That's because I have only one really old flash unit, a built in unit (totally worthless beyond like 8 feet, which is no good for groups) and no indirect-mounting equipment. So, good flash unit for up to 30 feet (heck yeah, lets toast those eyeballs!) a L-mount (you see photo-journalists using them, prevents most red-eye), a hot-shoe extension wire (like a long extension cord for your flash mount) with a flash stand, or the cheap method, a human assistant (who works for no pay cause they were walking by... poor sucker) and of course, a pocketfull of 100-400 speed film and batteries... that's actually closer to $500 for what I'd like for the whole day...

Good news is, a friend of mine who does wedding photography a lot, spends about $80 on film and batteries for a single wedding, and makes about $1200.

Of course, I'd do yours for free (at least for 3 select prints) and then charge a very modest fee for additional prints, since I'd insist on doing the lab work myself to ensure the highest quality (Ritz camera doesn't do much custom work, so you can't guarantee a perfect print, and Walgreens is a lost cause for quality photographs)
