Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Ok, I was a geek.
I heard GTA was coming out today at 7pm, so I headed out about 6 to my local EB.
I traded in a few games I'll never play again (especially since I've sold my Xbox) and waited in line (like 7th) until 7pm.
Out of nowhere, there were like 50 people in that tiny EB waiting to pick up the game... including, I think, Special Ed from Crank Yankers. This wonder-boy apparently waited outside the store since 11am.
Ahhh.. the people you meet.
Anyway, the game. Rocks. Just like the other two. There's some tweaks to the controls (good and bad), LOTS of new cars, and a HUGE map. Like REALLLLLLLY huge.
It's basically set in LA/Southern California. You play a gangsta, and get to do drive by's and ****, and swear a lot. But there's all kinds of other weirdness you can do.
I drove down the freeway on a lawnmower.
I tried to do a drive-by on a bicyle.
I spent lots of time in the gym, lifting weights and beating up my boxing coach.
I went into a burger place and ordered a kids meal.
Yes, those are actual things you can do in the game... in fact, 2 of em are required.

Snuck into airfield, stole plane, fought the urge to crash into large building I passed by, got shot down by fighter jets anyway.
First 10 minutes. ^_^

I just got back from renting it. I really should wait until the Xbox version comes out, but if this GTA is as good as people are saying it is, I might as well try it ASAP.
I was at EB that day it came out.. Huge lineup, and one of the clerks was being yelled at over the phone by someone who was complaining about the "sell only to people over the age of 18" rule. Walmart.. They had the game for $20 less, and there was no line ups.
