Yeah Naruto is awesome!! I like the variety of well develop characters interesting setting and exciting story. Lots of different characters to cosplay so it doesn't turn into the millionth summoner yuna or chi cosplay. Of course I still think Berserk yuna and Warrior yuna costumes are cool.

I don't know about better than sex... cause I haven't experienced sex yet.
However, Naruto is good enough that its on my 'watch new eps in Japanese before they are subbed' list with Bleach and Sunabouzu (SUNABOUZU ROCKS BABY!!!!! Episodes 11 and 12 are the shiznick, too bad only 4 subbed... LUNAR YOU LAZY ****s!!!!)
My favorite character is Jiraiya, hands down.
I'm not surprised a lot of people cosplay Naruto characters, the costumes are for the most part fairly simple (Although when designing Sasuke's just in case I was going to use it, the high neck thing gave me trouble... I eventually decided some sort of thin but sturdy bendable wire sewn into it would serve, should I ever make the costume.)
Naruto's costume is like, beyond simple... you just need to take a blue shirt and an orange shirt, replace the top with the blue, sew wool sweater collar and base edging to the top and bottom, die the bottow edging orange of course, use window caulk for the swirls, and rubber tubing and tubing clips for the shoulder design. The pants are basically the same thing but all orange and no design... and the weapon holders and bags are very easy to make (the leg one with cardboard, the bag with canvas or khaki material).
And the hair of course I would just leave to my hairdresser... she might have a heart attack cause this Fanime Con (Memorial Day Weekend) will be the first time in 4 years I'll have a different haircut (and have it died Ichigo orange!!!)
The shinigami uniform I taking from Bleach is much much harder than most Naruto costumes to make, mainly because obtaining the right kind of material and colors to match traditional 'samurai' style Japanese robing is very difficult in my area, and the places I've seen to order from want a fortune.
A JoAnn fabrics just opened like 3 minutes from my house (its like a freaking Home Depot for sewing...) so I'm gonna check there... they could make an entire paintball arena out of their clothe section is so big... gives me headaches.
Also, they will special order stuff for me, which is awesome!
Besides, everyone can use a black samurai outfit with a giant hand made wooden sword and sheeth during regular life, right? I mean, its not like the cops would pull over and ask if the sword was real or if you were the serial killer they were looking for...\

Heh, I'm finnaly convinced Naruto isn't coming to US shore soon. Probably not in my life time...
So I decided to start watching. Currently 1.08gigs through the first season and so far it's worth it. The music is superb, I've got the 1st ending song playing constantly.
And now I know why god loves Kakashi.

According to different studio heads, the reason Naruto ISN'T coming to the US any time soon is BECAUSE it is popular.

Yup. It's so popular already, that the companies in Japan want a ****LOAD of money and no US company is ready to dish it out yet.
Best odds though are for Viz (They have the manga rights) and ADV (they have the $).

My friend Alfredo is a big guy on several Japanese TV news sites (for the US) and he is one of their information people. After spending almost 2 months worriedly researching the plausibility of Naruto being licensed, he came to the same conclusion very definitily. Not even ADV will touch half of the current asking price... and get this...
Naruto popularity ratings are still rising after the anime finally rejoined with the manga in the 'Sasuke gone bad' saga their playing right now. Its ratings are skyrocketing and money is practically being hurled at them from howitzers to pump out all kinds of Naruto goodies.
Alfredo's prediction at the moment is maybe in 2 years ADV might touch it... either that or they'll weedle down the first saga's price, license that, then spend a year weedling down the price for each saga... so we'd see a one saga at a time licensing (Naruto shuns 'seasons'... they just do the saga until its done... a good method me thinks)
Hurray for high prices!!! For once!
