Board Slowness Issue
Some folks might have noticed in their travels upon occasion the boards get slow (speed in loading and posting). Runboard is aware of the problem and they are working on it. I do know I have read on a few of the boards Vegas Guy is looking into it personally. If you notice while posting that it is slow, kindly post the time of the slowness in this thread if it applies to this board. A few of the other boards have threads started as well.
I am able to roll with it. I would imagine having cable makes it more bearable than if I had dial-up. I would guess this issue is especially frustrating for dial-up accounts. I did just want to let everyone know they are working on it so try and have a bit of patience allowing them to determine the cause. Post specific details in the threads at the boards you visit, when a thread exists and... Try and keep it with you that even when it is slow we are pretty fortunate to have the boards that we do and runboard is a great hangout even when we can't do what we do as speedy as we like it. We don't always need a quickie
Have a good one

Re: Board Slowness Issue
This board has worked fine for me, but the biscuit board is so bad today I haven't been able to even open it up for several hours.

Re: Board Slowness Issue
I hear you Mrs. D I have had the worst time visiting today, I really try not to complain because I enjoy my time at runboard, but wow is it bogged down. Some boards or pages of boards simply refuse to load.
I think it effects different coms at different times, I noticed here was awful at 7:00 pm I cannot imagine 7:00 eastern time is a huge traffic time but molasses passed me up and the snail tracks we dried before I was able to navigate. Frustrating to say the least and I really do hope the system is upgraded or tweaked so that it can accommodate user needs.

Re: Board Slowness Issue
I know Thor the owner has been doing some major work in the server as far as upgrades so that may have something to do with Com 2 being down for some time. What I've discovered so far on board slow times and I've been monitoring 6 other boards on different Coms is it's a matter of ISP traffic. Foxfire has the least issues with IE having the most due to the heaviest traffic. I'll continue to monitor for a while but it is not a Runboard issue unless something else changes.

Re: Board Slowness Issue
I think a big part of mine tonight was my isp I bogged down about the time all the kids log on to play their various online games. Alex actually logged off and played psp because he was thinking it was sluggish
