Reiki
Well, I am thinking about giving it a whirl. A few of the folks at work are hooked as well as the owner's wife.
Has anyone tried it? And if you have what did you think of it?
I looked on wikipedia to get a short definition for those that weren't familiar, bbut how they put it into words really isn't how it has explained to me, so I opted not to post it.
Just wondering if anyone has tried it.

Re: Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."
I use this energy also known as 'Chi' or 'Ki' when practicing martial arts, all martial artists develop Chi but can take many years to harness and direct it properly
You should definately have a go lost, you are a positive person and I think you give it your all :trihrt

Re: Reiki
Nursing has used therapeutic touch such as this for a long time. It has been beneficial to some and I would say go for it- can't hurt!

Re: Reiki
Red can you take a look at my latest thread in the autism awareness thread. Kind of medical and when you have a sec I would like to know what you think.
Hoping the reiki lady's phone number is being brought to me today, not looking good though and still waiting for the secret too. They are leaving me in the medical miracle dust here :)
