Re: My peanut
Don't discount the fact they might cross paths later. I just watched it unfold here with my best friend, truly a story of inspiration, anyone that has waivered on adoption could possibly have a change of heart seeing how things worked out for my friend and her first born that she placed for adoption and his family. Its been just a wonderful closure and new beginning for all.
I love a good story like yours and my friends Mrs D. It's just wonderful. That co-worker (Ben's biological Grandmother) must have just thought the world of you and your family. And as we have come to find out she knew just what Ben needed. Great story so glad you shared.

Re: My peanut
Aww, thanks for the great story Mrs. D!! :trihrt We are still hashing out the details and thinking about it- we would like a little girl. My son told me is wanted a baby girl someday because then "I can be the brudder and she can be the sister). Pretty good logic for a 5 year old. :) Plus, my husband is a fantastic dad and I truly believe he deserves to have a little girl to spoil, love, and someday walk down the aisle. ;) Thanks again and we'll keep everyone up-to-date!

Re: My peanut
Round 2 of the bug finally got us. We went to our local hospital today and they transported Livy and I by ambulance to Children's Hospital in Pitts. She has a pretty serious case of Gastroenteritis. I did promise to follow instructions to a T so they allowed me to bring her home.
I really do think she is going to be fine and if things take another turn we'll get her back down there.
Wow what I day. I guess because of losing a baby when one of mine get sick I always brace myself for the worst. This sickness has been horrible. Probably the sickest I have seen a little one as far as tummy trouble. Driving in the ambulance I cant even tell you the thoughts in my head... but we made it through and I did explain we needed to be home in our beds tonight.
Children's Hospital is wonderful their emergency room though is so heartbreaking. I just needed to get us home. My heart and nerves can't take some of the injuries and illnesses I saw tonight. I know that probably doesn't sound right, but a few little ones I saw actually made me cry. Heartbreaking.
Nice to be home was such a long day.

Re: My peanut
Oh my what a day! Glad you are both home and praying for a speedy recovery. Its always scary when little ones are ill (especially in your case). I did alot of my nursing clinicals in our university pediatric hospital and while heartbreaking at times, kids are amazingly resilient. I'll be thinking of you both. Let us know how you are and give Livy a hug from the board!!

Re: My peanut
Thanks so much Red. Today we are still battling the illness. She has wet her diaper just a tiny bit, has tears and we are trying fluids 1 teaspoon every 15 minutes every waking hour as instructed. vomiting was horrible after her nap, but we don't go back unless there is a repeated issue and that was our first with it today. Hopefully being careful with the liquids will allow her to hold onto her fluids. She has slept a considerable amount today ~ so that has helped.
Thanks for thinking about us I do appreciate it.

Re: My peanut
Oh lordie lost - hope you are all doing better there and that olivia is improving!! I didn't see this as somehow my cookies didn't log me in here so i usually 'fertilise' everything at the end of browsing and it wasn't showing any new posts - thought everyone had gone to sleep till I finally looked at the dates on the front page!
poor little poppet - any improvement today?

Re: My peanut
I think its a total recovery, we might have to go for blood work again, but she is holding everything down, and her diapers are again nice and wet. If they would like to check her of course I will take her, but I really do think she is back to health. Now I just have to fatten her up a bit. She lost weight the first go round and more this time and she was so tiny to begin with. With her not eating this past week I want to load her up with goodies that will replenish what she missed. Slowly but surely.
