Hoblin Goblin Hop
Have wanted to think of something that could be done between the boards~ something fun for all~
I have come up with the Hoblin Goblin Hop...It will be the First Mayhem sponsored event. There will be a Prize for this Event. The Winner will receive Premium Board Status for 100,000 page views, compliments of Mayhem of Motherhood. You have the option to keep this prize for yourself or donate it to the board of your choice. If those 2 options do not appeal to you the winner can have the $25.00 usd amount donated to a Charity of their choice in the name of their Board (appropriate recognized charity).
Your participation allows you entrance into The Crypt... A participants only private thread with all kinds of slick Halloween gojiggers to help you spiff up your board. We've just opened it and its great as it sits and growing every day...
We must have a minimum of 10 boards enter for this prize to be offered (please respect that). These 10 boards must decorate their board for Halloween ~ Festively. Halloween themed. Please understand a carved pumpkin smilie does not qualify your board for this competition. You may turn to others for help. Please request help early as there is a considerable amount of work needed for a Themed board (your original board can be saved and loaded back in at the completion of this contest)...
The winning board will be voted on by members of the runboard community. We will also have judges as well~ a combination of the members vote and the judges vote will decide the winner. This keeps it fair as far a allowing a new board the same chance as a board that is established and has a huge membership. New boards are welcome to enter. The board must be created no later than September 1, 2007. It needs to be an active board with member participation.
Your board must be Decorated by October 1, 2007 and the last day for the hop and the vote is October 30, 2007. Prize will be awarded November 1, 2007
This will be a blast. I really encourage all boards to enter. Now would also be a fun time to create a board if you have been thinking about it. It allows folks to learn how to tweak and decorate their boards and also gives the members something fun to look forward to. I have given plenty of notice to allow for the learning curve of decorating. If you don't have one already now would be a great time to get a testboard and begin practicing.
Should you have any questions please post them. Should you decide to enter your board in this hop/ competition, please let me know.
This is for the fun of everyone. And if it turns out that people jump in and get involved it could become an Annual Event or Additional Holidays could be added.

ooo this seems really fun, but i might be too much of a idiot to decorate my board as my design know how is so limited.
Let me know if you need any help with promoting this event around boards or in any way i can be of help to you.

Very cool~ thanks gals...
My design know how is ultra limited, that's why I have posted this extremely early so that can can learn to funk it up a bit... Also you can ask for help...
The idea of this is to bring the boards and members closer together and allow folks who have been apprehensive about learning to change up their board the opportunity to do so. I just jumped in a bit this past week~ I am now a junkie. I was scared half to death to try it. If I can get in there and tinker anyone can get in there in tinker... trust me when I say that.
If everyone could just promote this to the boards they know of I would sure appreciate it. I know there are many I have not found yet....
I am also open for any ideas of this being a success as this is the first time I will be hosting a competition / hop.
I think this is really going to be killer and so fun~~ I hope at least.

Yes it is and if you have a board, at runboard please let us know what it is and we'll get it in our sidebar and we will start visiting at your place as well. If you aren't a board owner you have 2 options, start a board no later than September 1, 2007 and enter it. You can ask folks to help with your design that is permitted... Or if you are not a board owner and have no interest in being one... you become a hopper and a voter and we'll hop to the various Halloween themed boards and then we will vote on the winner.
