Children's books that I couldn't live without!!!
Here is a list of books that shaped my childhood...I strongly recommend them all for your kids! I read them all over and over and I still think back fondly on them :)
Robert Munsch
50 Below Zero
Andrew's Loose Tooth
Love You Forever
Millicent And The Wind
The Mud Puddle
Murmel Murmel Murmel
The Dark
The Paper Bag Princess
Thomas' Snowsuit
Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak
Incognito Mosquito
The Chronicles of Narnia
Obviously the Harry Potters
Those are all I can think of now but I'll add more as they come to me! You should go to the library or book store and get these books for your kids...they'll love them!

Re: Children's books that I couldn't live without!!!
As a young girl, I read all the Little House on the Prairie series. My son loves the Captain Underpants series now (totally boy peepee, poopoo, booger, potty humor). We have some great ones right now- How I became a Pirate, Blueberries for Sal (another fave of mine), all Dr. Suess, Corduroy, Dandelion, and the best poem story ever, but nearly impossible to find- Miss Twiggley's Tree.
Many many more, and I could type forever!

Re: Children's books that I couldn't live without!!!
well I guess it depends on what specific age
but when I was 6-8 I loved Charlotte's Web, Stuart LIttle
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - Seabiscuit (seriously 0 this was a kid's book long before the more recent novel)
can't remember any more - too long ago I guess :p
I did love the Little House on the Prairie books

Dr.Seuss is still the best for generating a love of books in kids as young as 1yr old. Our 5yr olds' fav is 'fox in socks' and he can read most of it himself and giggles when his tongue gets in a muddle! Its inspired stuff cause it makes them laugh and laughter aids learning...in my view anyhoo

I still love charlotte's web :)
Also loved the poem about the Goops, Mom & Granddad read it so well. It was in a large book I had of rhymes and poetry, we usually read out of this book a little each night. We always read at least book each night. Actually going to look for the book when I go out to Grandma's this weekend so I can start sharing it with Olivia.
