Traveling with kids...
I found this over at Freebie Friends ~ the link is in the sidebar
Really slick things to make travel a bit easier for the little one, tis the season... fun easy to print pdf's various activities... The whole site looks interesting to me~ I have bookmarked it...to go back and dig a little deeper.

personally when traveling with my daughter, car rides make her tired, or if she's getting a bit grumpy we play eye spy which is fun for all of us, or we talk about what she sees out the window and explain alot of stuff to her and teach her, it's really nice.

we play what I call "Bird on a Wire" well did when the boys were little... We make a little list:
Bird on a Wire (always on the list,lol)
American Flag
Wal-Mart Big Rig
UPS Truck
sometimes letters of the alphabet on signs
all depends on how old they were what was appropriate.
And when someone spotted it they hollered out whatever it was and whoever had the most points in x amount of miles picked the snack / meal stop / munchies/ or just had the prestige of the win for that leg.
Right now Me and Livy work on the days of the week as we travel. She will be 2 in September and we have the alphabet down, and counting to 10 (a little shaky) so we practice numbers and days of the week. It's fun for us.
Bird on a Wire was always our favorite though
How old is your little one if you are comfortable answering. I have Zak he will be 18 in Dec. Alex just turned 15, and Olivia will be 2.
