Back to School Shopping

I know I am already starting to think about it because I am paid once a month ~ so next payday funds will be needed to get the boys ready.

Article tonight on yahoo. They specifically pointed out the cost of shoes, that's what caught my attention. My oldest is a 13.5 emoticon I cannot tell you how difficult it is to find shoes his size and when we do really at that point cost isn't an option ~ we're happy to have something to fit on "his boats". Since his feet have gotten so large I haven't been lucky enough to even find a pair for $108.00 (what the article stated was the average shoe budget for the year...) The cheapest I get away with for him is $125.00 a pair if we are very very lucky and he goes through several pairs a year.

If you haven't wanted to think about it ~ the time is getting near watch the sale fliers, sometimes purchasing a tad earlier than needed can save you some bucks. I know getting these two ready for the school year is pricey, always has been~ but it's like taxes for me, it just can't be avoided.

All our books are done but uniforms (all schools have them here) have to be done. Luckily the 2 middle ones haven't grown too much but the boys have. My eldest son has grown at least 5" since this time last year!! The joys!!

My kindergarten-to-be starts soon and luckily its still warm down south here so nice looking shorts and polos/t-shirts are acceptable. We don't have uniforms but I love that idea nowadays. I plan on getting him shoes but I am putting off trying to buy anything else for him though because I feel another growth spurt coming on.... emoticon :j/k
