15 ~ eek
Well Alex turned 15 on the 4th. Last night was his first movie date... Just barely over the shock of Zak dating (17) ~ and Alex slid right in to it. Kind of nice they are growing ~ but wow for them both to get into at practically the same time... it was more than I expected.
Alex said the girl he went out with said at the end of school she hoped they would see each other over the summer. Alex said yah maybe we can go to the movies or something. She was going to see Oceans last night so she invited him. He said they had a nice time. Neither were impressed with Ocean's though... (That let me know they were watching, awhhhhh)
So I have 2 dating~ it's all kind of new, but we are getting through it. (A month into it and nothing crazy has happened... hoping it keeps going as smoothly.)

I am happy for them both~ we just finished nicely to our school year and we had one of the rockiest starts ever (father related). So they finished school nicely and I am proud of that.
Zak's girlfriend ~ I couldn't have special ordered a girl more perfect ~ wow I am blown away by what a great gal she is.
Alex's friend (they aren't serious yet) seems to be real sweet, although I have only just met her briefly.
Still seems like I should be changing their diapers~ wow it goes quick...

It is going pretty smooth. Which I will be honest... I was nervous. I had wished their father and I could have found a way to set a better example, but we didn't. Zak (my oldest) and his gal don't date anymore. Alex and his gal have gone to the movies a few times and also to a local pizza parlor to eat. So it's going ok. I am glad their friends (both sexes) feel welcome here, and stop in. Also glad the boys feel they can say they are dating someone... I didn't tell my Mom anything. And I hope when the boys go and visit the girls' homes the parents are pleased and think the boys are suitable. Would guess the parents of a teen girl worry a bit more. I can honestly say though as the parent of teen boys I worry too, and have tried my hardest to raise boys who have a good heart and will treat their girlfriends (as well as everyone else) with respect. I can only imagine though how different I will feel when it's Olivia going on a date with a boy ~ my nerves will be shot!
