You should read the Key trilogy and the Morrigans Cross trilogy! Also the books she wrote as JD Robb- completely different is structure and scope.

Feed your Head- could you go look at the Bay for me sometime- I miss it.

 :emoticon I loved it there.

I read pretty much anything I can get my hands on.

Marion Zimmer Bradley-fiction to Historical fact, to the back of whatever is in the cupboard if nothing else is there!

The thread titled Me by Kourtesan is about her work ~ she is a recognized accomplished author. Currently she has 4 of her books on a best sellers list and I do believe some are based on historical (racey) romance. She also has a trilogy if I am not mistaken might be worth a look. Her board is Kristina Dalton and its listed in the side bar. Check her out. Upon my return to work (tomorrow thank God) I will have the software I need to read a book on this pc ~ really looking forward to it.

We're big on reading and it's something that was passed onto us through my Grandfather- he was an English Professor at U of Pitt.

1lost1, I went to Pitt at the Greensburg campus and was an English major (back in the 80s) and was just wondering if your GF might have been one of my professors!

I love reading. I get on an author kick and will usually stick to that author until I get tired of him or her. I like to read non-fiction a lot but right now I'm reading fiction again - Dean Koontz - some scary suspense, but the guy can write some awesome prose!

I have been looking for some books by Sherrilyn Kenyon that were recommended to me by a friend, anything in the Dark Hunter series (Vampires and steamy sex I've been told - might be a good combination for a change of pace!) I hate to pay full price for any books so I search garage sales, thrift stores and even ebay for books.

Re: The Book Nook

Val, he is 95 and he retired I am thinking at 65. Retired from an active role in the colleges in his 60's. He then devoted most of his time to his first love Aviation. If I think of it when I am out there this weekend, because so many years have passed I will ask him and Grandma if he was active in the 80's but I am certain he wasn't.

Wow I feel like the 80's were just a few years ago, lol Hard to believe time has moved so quick. I'm not liking it emoticon

Re: The Book Nook

We are all big readers at my house.

My husband died in '91 leaving me to finish raising my 2 sons, but he was an avid reader and a great Stephen King fan.

I know it isn't koser or proper but at dinner, we'd all have our noses in books a good chunk of the time. Don't tell anybody.

My younger son, in between his 2nd and 3rd grade years could finish a 6th grade paperback during a 50 mile trip. (I was a 6th grade teacher at the time and I'd bring home some paperbacks each summer for him to read, he could knock off several in one week). Sending him to his room for punishment was never punishment, he loved to be in there reading! LOL

I know I made plenty of mistakes as a mom but that is one thing I/we did right.....help our sons develop a love of reading and it's going on today, they are in their 20s and voracious readers.
