Wow you met someone online and married, maybe sometime you can tell us about it. I see commercials where folks say it works and seem happy and I have read about some stories online, but I never knew someone that it actually happened with. Very neat and I would think a little bit of a nervous time at first too. You must have a brave streak in you. Hoping one day you'll feel like talking about it, as I am sure it's an amazing story.

one of my bestest friends met her hubby online - and she lived in Australia - and he, here in California
I'm so ever glad she met and married her hubby, for if not, she never would have moved here, and I wouldn't ever have met her! :trihrt
I think they have been married about 10 years now!

wow fyh. I honestly never figured that type of thing to work out. It amazes me. I would be too scared to even attempt that. I love to talk with everyone, but I have never had it in me to flirt online and the like. I never actually really dated anyone other than the boys' Dad and haven't been one to flirt when out. My friends tease me. I have a huge wild streak, but when it comes to stuff like that I am "mother hen" at least that's what I have been told. Fun to hear people do take chances like that and something wonderful results from it. Me I am a just a gabber, but I enjoy it.

Hello all! My name is Brandi and I found this place because 1lost1 came over and visited us on our Lost board (Dharma Fish Biscuits).
I've been married for 10 years and three children (an 8 yr old son, 2 1/2 yr old son and 1 1/2 yr old daughter).
My oldest is adopted and the other two were surprises. I haven't looked around the site much yet but I'm hoping maybe there's someone else with adopted children.
I'm actually glad I found this site when I did--my husband is in the army and leaves to Kuwait for a year next Tuesday. You may find me on here looking for advice on being a single parent!

Glad you found us. We talk a little bit about everything here. I have been single parenting on and off for 18 years. By no means an expert but having 2 teen boys and a new baby I have dealt with a lot.
We are just gettin off the ground, but we have step families, we have folks considering adoption and I would imagine as time goes on will more pop over. One thing I know for sure our members are not only fun but they come to us with alot of experience. In just this short amount of time there has been some very sound advice given.
It's nice to have a place to pop in and see where you can have a little bit of fun or if things take a more serious turn you can ask for advice. I think we have that here and I hope you'll feel comfortable and pop in and see us. You having a husband in the service could be so helpful to someone just starting a life like that. I am sure you have a ton of experience to share.
Such a fan of adoption here, I think its wonderful.
Good luck to you and your family sending your husband off, I hope that he is safe and that the time passes quickly. We'll be here to help you pass the time and help you along in any other manner that we can. I know it has to be a stressful time for you. Hang in. And welcome
