Pumpkin Farm Tomorrow

One of the guys in our warehouse has a farm. His family does ~ I have mentioned there before. Wonderful family 10 kids and they are just amazing. Well tomorrow a couple of us from work are heading over to get some of our pumpkins. Excited about it. I love visiting over there ~ you never know what's going on.

Will take the baby on one of the weekends prior. They do hay rides and go all out ~ but really looking forward to heading over tomorrow too. I love being in the fields. It supposed to be a gorgeous day.

I have to figured out my designs ~ been searching for ideas but nothing has "spoke" to me yet

Fun! I can't wait to go to the pumpkin farm around here. They have hay rides, the kids can climb on the stacked bales up in an open air loft, games, pumpkin picking (of course), small farm animals to pet, and a very elaborate corn maze to navigate. Its great fun and I love this time of year!

Being that we don't have a car..I bought my pumpkins (2) from WalMart and scooped them out the night before Halloween. Hubby is better with designs so he made the Jack O Lanterns, while I cooked up all the pumpkin and put it in the freezer for use over the holidays. (got 8 pies to make 4 for Thanksgiving and 4 for Christmas 2 each for our own enjoyment and the other 4 for the church dinners coming up)

I can't wait for a slice of pumpkin pie. My Grandma on my Dad's side always made hers with real pumpkin ~ I haven't tasted one like that in years. We always use the libby's (cheating I guess), but they taste scrumptious too. I love the way the house smells when one is in the oven. I hope they turn out perfect for you Granny.

I found a great recipe for a Cheese Cake/pumpkin pie that is to die for...I love it ...and now we can't go to any Church function during the Holidays with out showing that we brought the above pies and hubby's homemade Eggnog.
