Glad you posted this link Vegas because it is the type of board I have a question about... sometimes board hopping I stumble on a board that wants me to log into (I actually thought at one point these were non runboard forums, but one of Josh's boards does the same thing to me). Do I just log in as 1lost1 with my password, to be able to check things out or do I have to seek permission from the board owners to get in? When you have a sec please let me know. There have been a few I haven't checked out becase it tells me I am not logged in that I would like to see.

Once you're logged in that should be enough as every Runboard member is a Global member so has access to any board unless the security is set to: membership by application or password. You should not get that message but one that tells you what the requirement to join that particular board are. Most keep their boards open or Requires 1 Post for membership. You can look and see everything but will be a lurker until you post. Now, I have an open board but restricted forums. You will not get access to those forums until you become a member by posting or replying to a post.
Then many forums have what I call the Access By Post system. You have access to some forums, after say 10 posts you can get access to another, 25, 50, 100 are common numbers and I've see up to 500 posts to join one forum.
Another thing to keep in mind is that we keep several boards. I have them at Ez, Yuku, PPHP, and many others. often, especially in board hops you hop to entirely new board hosts so might be required to log in or actually join there first. So yes, you might be required to register there for access before you can join that board to post. The problem with this is like me I have literally dozens of memberships, user names & passwords that I keep track of. Bad security to use the same passwords & user names for everywhere you join.
If you are signed out then yes that's the message you will receive.

Wolfram your board tickles me. I love how you guys get along and go at each other. Were you guys friends in the real world, because it just seems as if you guy have know each other for years and years and have a fun history. I actually chuckle out loud like watching Father Ted. When you guys go off on each other or about a topic it is hillarious! It is a favorite stop of mine. That Bob is a funny guy! And if I am not mistaken he is a real horn ball too right (loves the ladies) I think I picked that up when he was talking about camping out back.
I laugh when I visit it is fun to me!!

I've known Bob 2-3 yrs Lost. He's a great guy & lots of fun. Everyone on Avalon gets along by & large & we've pretty well got to know each other on a first name basis which I really like :)
Avalon & Mayhem are great boards in regards their laidback, easygoing atmosphere,which is all down to the posters & to a lesser extent the Admins(they all make our job so easy) . I liken Avalon to a small rural pub where the locals pop in fer a chat & a laugh etc. :)

Hi all. For those of you that have promoted your board I have added it to a drop down menu on our main page. If you would like it removed, kindly just say so and we'll ixnay the romotionpay ;)
Sneaky I was unable to get your links to open in the welcome thread, if you would like listed, please let me know. I will try later it could have just been a glitch.
I think regardless if our board gets listed on these or not that the best part of runboard is finding boards that are of interest and the only way that happens is by spreading the word so I will gladly promote boards. I am not sure when we cap off due to space. If space becomes an issue we'll rotate boards in a manner that is fair ~ at this time it's the best solution I have.
If you have a board you like please post it. Even if you don't own the board. I will check with the owner and see if they would like it promoted. We're here to find fun places :party

Thanks Indica, I just throw everyone I can up because I like to get to new places. Hoping we get some more traffic here, but I'll throw someone's link up there regardless. You never what board will appeal to someone and a new place to get to is always fun.
I wasn't sure because it looked like your garden of weedin site was hosted by a different type of boards if I could place it up top, but I believe when I posted that question to either vegas or wiz they told me I could. Still very new to this stuff and have yet to master anything except logging in :) I didn't mean to slight the garden though, just can't find where it said that yes codes for other boards do work.
