There was 19 years between Elton John's debut UK hit single and his first solo number one.

Wow I am glad he kept at it.

In the 1950's it was discovered that most people who were allergic to dogs did not react badly to greyhounds. This is attributed to their sleek coat and uncommon skin type.

My friend's family adopted one while we were in highschool. Great dog.

I LOVE greyhounds! I've never owned one tho' unfortunately. They do seem to get a bum steer as far as doggie breeds go and a lot of them seem subject to a lot of cruelty etc. My neighbours had them when i was a kid, they always fascinated me so svelt and sleek.

Here in the states they don't seem to be common pets. Lately though folks have been adopting them once retired from the tracks they race on and Greyhound rescue is popular. Still very few and far between to be seen. The dog Michelle's family had was wonderful, had a great name too, but I can't think of it to save my life. Id remember being mortified when I first met him because he was the one and only I have ever seen as a pet and I thought he was starving to death ~ fascinating dog breed I think.

Researchers have concluded that, for the perfect slice of toast, the bread needs to reach 120C (284F) to turn golden brown, that the butter should come from the fridge and be spread on within two minutes of the bread being toasted.
