Meet DeeDee our newest BABY!!
This is Dee Dee (aka Daisy Duke Ponte), she is 3 weeks old today (one of the last pups born --sometime around 8 to 9 pm). She's a Boxer/Lab mix, (papa is a full-blooded Boxer and mama is half Boxer half Lab). She's already eating and drinking on her own...but she has got the LOUDEST voice I have ever heard on a puppy her size (she weighs about 1 and half pounds).
Right now hubby is feeding her...actually he finished a few minutes ago and is now cuddling her....he's going to have fun tonight when she wakes up in the middle of night hungry...(he says he's going to bring her into my room when that happens---TYPICAL!)

That's Yoda (our almost 15 year old cat) on 'my' right side (your left). If hubby had waited just a split second more he would have gotten a pic of her stretching across my lap and touching noses with Dee Dee.

wow those are great pictures, Granny. It has been forever since I have been around a litter of puppies. I hope they do wonderful.

The litter of pups(and parents-Max and Lola) belong to our neighbors...there's a male that is brown and white like Dee Dee (but more white then DeeDee) the rest are shades of brown with black markings (feet and muzzles) but there is one (the largest I think--probably the first born) that has STRIPES ..the Brown coloring is very close to the same color brown on DeeDee but he has really dark (almost black) stripes just like a tiger....I have never seen Boxer marked liked this and we were tempted to take him but hubby was set on having a female pup (there was only three females)
You can't see it that clearly in the pics but DeeDee has a ring of White around her neck (right at the base of her neck where it joins her body) ...then of course she has that unusal marking on her forehead that looks almost like a Horseshoe but when you look at it from a different angle it looks like the Swoosh emblem of Nike shoes.
I think the main thing that made us choose her was her markings...

I love her ~ oh my do I miss our boxer. I hope she is every bit as wonderful as she looks (you can tell she has a very cool personality) Makes me want to search the want ads ~ we are pet free right now and so lonely without a critter. I do hope you'll keep posting as she grows ~ she has beautiful markings.
