Push Me Pull Me

I love this little Guy ~ it would be a 3 hour trip to visit or I would be going this weekend. Hoping work takes me in that direction so I can stop in.
NORRISTOWN, Pa. - A pet store has bought a two-headed turtle from a collector and plans to keep it on display, the store manager said. The 2-month-old turtle, actually conjoined red-eared slider twins, fits on a silver dollar.
It has two heads sticking out from opposite ends of its shell, along with a pair of front feet on each side. But there is just one set of back feet and one tail.
The turtle is apparently healthy, and the species can live 15 to 20 years, said Jay Jacoby, manager of Big Al's Aquarium Supercenter in East Norriton. The turtle has not yet been named.
The store would not disclose how much it paid.
The same exotic-turtle collector sold another Big Al's store a conjoined-twin turtle about 20 years ago, Jacoby said. The man lives in Florida, but he declined to identify him.

I think they will... the end of the story made a statement that 20 years ago they had another one that was sold to a gentleman who lives in Florida but didn't wish to be identified. Makes me think the 20 year old fellows are still alive. I hope so at least.
Ever since I have been little I have wanted a little turtle like that. I went to school with a girl name Kim who had one for years ~ it was amazing to watch. Not a push me pull me ~ but a cutie just the same.

Sometimes people get them as tiny ones and love them but these guys grow and grow and can get huge and then families can no longer keep them. Unfortunately some then just abandon them to the wild where they can't survive. They are so cute - but take a huge commitment as they live so long.

That would be horrible to love the little guy and then just toss him aside. The one my friend had stayed tiny tiny and he loved Lettuce. For the life of me I can't remember his name though. I know Kim had him for what seemed like forever back in those days. I know I met him in middle school, 6th grade. And she was taking him to college. So he had a good run. He might still even be with us.
Our UPS guy had 3, one for each of his girls. The novelty wore off as far as them taking care of them so his Mom adopted them. His wife was too afraid to go near their "house". He was on vacation this week so I will show him Monday and ask about the 3 because I haven't asked about them in awhile.
