I use Jasc Animation Shop 3 (which comes with Paint Shop Pro). Sometimes you can just upload a clip that you have downloaded on your hard drive right into the animation program. But in this instance - when making an av straight off a DVD - I have to first screen cap the moment frame by frame & then upload the frames one at a time into the animation program to make the avatar.
