Your concert experiences ....

What shows have you been to, and how was it?

I don't get out much....hehe, too broke and, plus, my friends and I rarely listen to the same music, so I have no one to go with...

Saw Kid Rock and Fuel this past weekend. Really exciting show!! Fuel was kind of boring to me. I think their songs are kind of bland, and, plus, I thought, damn, that guitar player isn't any better than I am! (and I'm not very good)...altho' I guess I should consider that inspiring in a way...I mean, if he can get up there and do it, why can't I?...lol....Well, Kid Rock and Twisted Brown Trucker were awesome both musically and for the bad-ass show they put on. Kid did his trick of going around playing all of the instruments, which is pretty cool...lol...he was kinda sucking at the drums though...They did four songs off of Devil Without a Cause; On "Cowboy" he played piano and sang it first and then they went into the rap/rock version of it....The rest was pretty much country-ish, mainly covers...very cool, though.

Re: Your concert experiences ....

I was at the Vancouver show. I made my
sister go with me (she wasn't a huge Metallica fan
before the show).

It was absolutely AMAZING!!I've never
been at a concert that was so loud -
Sometimes you couldn't hear James singing
because of the crowd. They are such an incredible live band and
there were lots of sing-a-longs (Master of
Puppets, Blackened, Sad but True, Nothing
Else Matters, etc.), so that's always fun.

We were in lower level seats (I'm a bit
old for moshing) and had a great view of
the stage. I saw more of James and Rob
than Kirk and Lars. They all kicked ass!

Anyway, I'm going to see them again in May in Calgary. I can hardly wait.......

...Ohh, and for the weekly James "fix" -
He did take his shirt off at the
vancouver show and played guitar on
his knees with his back to the crowd.

All I could think was - it doesn't get
any better than this emoticon

I went to the Melbourne and Perth BDO's and I was at the front of the mosh[which is front of the stage] for both shows. Kirks pick hit me in the Head - he threw it TO me cuz i was jumping and screaming like crazy - i could hardly believe my luck! But this bastard behind me grabbed it off me! I would've smacked him up had i not been sandwiched between 1000 people.
I got some really great photos from the gig and would love to post em, but i don't know how to? Do I need a scanner? Cuz I don't have one...

I last saw tallica at Earls Court 19th Dec last year. I was pretty close to the front and it was amazing. I got kicked in the head by a crowd surfer and got numerous elbows in the ribs but it was worth it to be that close to James. Unfortunately after about 3 songs my male friend pulled me out of the pit and made me stand further back as he was worried I was gonna get hurt. But for those 3 songs I was soooo close to James will never forget that.

We'll never stop we'll never quit cause we're Metallica.

wow man that sux....well at least u were close 4 that amount of time. At the Melbourne show I got pulled out too by my cousins because one of them was having an asthma attack - but she was fine when we got out of the middle. For Perth i stayed at the front for the WHOLE THING. its such a rush being so close to your idols and looking at them while they look at you - totally sent shivers up my spine i nearly collapsed when Kirk looked my way...

My first concert was seeing 'tallica at Earl's Court December 20th 2003! I went with my best mate who is a big metal fan and we had a great time!
We were standing in the seating area about 10 or 15 metres from the stage so we were pretty close! I spent the whole concert headbanging, singing and looking at James and Kirk, the part that I will never forget is the atmosphere when they played my fave song "Nothing else matters", everyone who had a lighter lit it up and everyone was singing, it was absolutely amazing!!
I still can't believe I went to see them, Metallica are amazing live and it was awesome to be in the same arena as my heroes!

Also saw Megadeth back in.... 01 I think it was, when they were on tour with Anthrax [who got kicked off] and Motley Crue. Awesome show, had seats.

One time I saw a guy crowd surf right onto a bunch of people holding lighters. Got a nice burn mark in his shirt. What a knob!
