Re: For The Boys>> It's time to say goodbye...
Hello again to our beautiful boys of Metallica.
So its ure last show for the tour this year. You've been on the road for ages. I saw you in Australia in Febuary this year, and it seems so long ago now. Well relax and enjoy your well deserved break over the holiday season. Hope you and your families have a happy and safe Christmas. Im pretty sure you were all well behaved this year(well, we know James is an absolute angel ) so im sure Santa will be looking you up and hooking you up with something special.
We cant wait till you get back in the studio and pump out some new tunes again!
So, until next time keep well and eat well and we will see you on the road again soon!
Love
Sara
P.S James i hope u dont mind, but i kinda requested Santa leave u in my stocking on Christmas Eve...
O, i almost forgot-why dont u invite The Chad from Nickelback over when ure back in the studio for abit of a duet? C'mon, he's a big Tallica fan and a great musician, it would be awesome! And i would be soooo excited! LOL. I mean, if u can work with Ja Rule...

Re: For The Boys>> It's time to say goodbye...
Hello Metallica,
it's me again Daniela.
I hope you have had a great time on tour. When I am watching the metontour videos you really seem to have so much fun.
I love the video when you invited this new band break the chair to play with you.they are such cute kids and you gave them a thing that they will never forget you let them play with you.
I always love to see how close you are to your fans. And how much you are doing for them.
I really hope someday that you will read at least one of my letters i have already written to you. When other people tell of themselves and that they wrote a letter and then you answered them it always sounds so easy but perhaps you aren't answering me cause you have never received one letter from me.ok i am sure there are a lot of people writing you.
and i have the worst luck in the whole world, too.
I would love to work for you in the recording studio as studio assistant and live on tour as roadie. It's my life's dream.I hope someday somebody helps me to make it come true.I am praying to god that this happens.
I have already tried to contact so many different people.I have sent my resume and my certificates to a few people.
At the moment I am studiing IT .
And I can tell you it's very hard.
I am audiotechnician/producer,too.I have recorded and mixed several demo songs for new bands.
I play a little bit guitar and keyboard.
you really inspire me when I am working on new songs at my computer or when I play guitar.thank you so much for your inspiration.
and thank you for this great fanclub.
and the most important thing thank you for your music and thanks for being so down to earth people.I hope to get to know you someday and be allowed to work for you.that would be the greatest thing that could happen to me.
ok enough for this letter.
i wish you all the best.
thanks for reading the letter.
bye
Daniela

Re: For The Boys>> It's time to say goodbye...
heya...me again. don't know who that is? fair enough, so i'll tell you! i'm ariane, i'm 19, was born in canada, live in england and i've been an obsessed metallica fan for just over 2 years. i know, not a lot, but considering my age, it's a pretty decent portion!
i know you all hear how you've inspired people and how your music and lyrics have changed people, and though i'm sure you try not to be, you're probably sick of it. or at least desensitized. thing is, if something makes a big enough difference in your life and you get the chance to say thank you, you do it!
so, lars: thank you for having the courage to be yourself, for the hours of hard work and effort you put into my favourite band, for your quirky sense of humour and for your dedication. metallica would not and could not exist without you. i've also gotten into diamond head, motorhead, deep purple, etc because of you. so cheers for that. keep on rockin, and never stop being you.
kirk: when i first started listening to you guys, i kind of thought you were like, the "silent member". as in, i thought you came in, worked your fretboard magic, and carried on with life. then i started finding more out about metallica, and watching the DVDs and reading interviews and everything, and i realised that you're so much more than that. you're more than just an amazing guitarist. you're such an integral part of the band...you mediate arguments, you write songs and riffs as well as solos, your chilled-out mellow sense of humour makes people laugh and your dedication and energy onstage help metallica give their best every night. i've got so much respect for you.
rob: i was a little wary of you to begin with, but i saw you guys play live at earl's court in december (****ing brilliant set, btw) and you brought so much energy to the stage. you had some big shoes to fill, and you've done it marvellously. you appear to have slotted into the metallica family really well...and when a band is as huge as metallica are, it's like the fans are part of the family too - and you've been totally accepted by everyone. i never doubted your technical ability, but now i don't doubt that metallica's new album will be amazing. i can't wait to hear the album, with your ideas and playing on it. should be one hell of a ride. thanks for everything.
james: had to save you till last because you've been my inspiration. i bet you've heard them so many times, they don't mean much anymore, but it's the truth. i completely identify with your lyrics, and they've helped me through a lot of crap. i won't complain to you, because my life's been a lot easier than some people, but i totally relate to the whole "parents and religion" thing. i understand dyer's eve. i read somewhere that you didn't realise it sounded so angry, but the anger is intrinsic to the song. it's what makes it so powerful (for me, anyway!). i won't go listing all the songs that i relate to, because i would imagine you also get that all the time. but thanks. also, the way you managed to overcome your addictions and move forward will never fail to inspire me. you're the sort of person whose simple existence will always push people to do better, and i envy you that. you're the heart and soul of metallica - your pure volatile energy onstage, along with your more gentle side, with the genius sense of humour (you always crack me up:
bob: i'd never heard a demo with 'wah na na' in it before
lars: that's what was so great about it, the way james would write the lyrics 5 minutes before singing them
james: those WERE the lyrics, you guys just didn't like them!)
anyway, thanks for putting your heart and soul out there for us fans - we appreciate it.
thanks for an awesome album, an awesome tour and an awesome band! you guys rock - enjoy your break...you deserve it! thanks for taking care of your fans so well.
ariane
(i'm going to go with the semi-trend and put my email address down, in case you get a few spare minutes. sound desperate? ha, yeah i agree.)

Re: For The Boys>> It's time to say goodbye...
Hi guys!
How are you doing? Well I don't know what to say, just: KEEP ON ROCKIN' METALLICA!!! You're the best!
Well, I have a question (I asked it before but don't know if you realy read it, so I ask it again: ) Please make girly bandshirts!! There are cute girlies, but I want a Ride the lightning and a Master of puppets shirt that realy fits! Now I have to make them smaller and that's not realy it because the painting is too large (I'm just a little girl)
Kirk: Can someone be any hotter??
Thank you so much for everything! You are my insperation to play guitar! (with Jimi Hendrix and Jimi Page)
And please put some mother-****ing-ass-kicking solo's on the next album!
James: I know it's told you over million times but your lyrics means so much to me! Thank you for being you!
Lars: Hi drummerboy! When you come to Europe again, please come to the Netherlands! That would be so great because I saw you just for 1 and a half times (long story) and I realy want to see you play! because the last time (in Amsterdam 21th of june) some women with a camera was staning before you all the time! I coudn't see you play, just her ass! And I don't like womens asses!
Rob: Oh my god you're ****ing great man! I realy like the way you play bass! I would say keep on rockin' but I want to say metal but I don't know how to conjugate that!
I know, my english sucks! I'm sorry for that!
Enjoy the break but don't forget to make matal! quote: James Hetfield: Make metal, not love!
Love, Klaske
The Netherlands
