Re: For The Boys>> It's time to say goodbye...
One show to go!
You must all be pretty excited about it.
It was a long, long tour. Needless to say that we all loved it!
I live in Paris, France, and I got to see you three times in a row on a fantastic day, hehe!
I'll never forget that crazy day, and I have the feeling that I'm not the only one!
And you came back last june, for a kick ass gig. I usually don't really like stadium gigs, but you made this one be freakin' amazing.
I just have no words to say how grateful I am to all of you, for everything that you do, for all the good things that you do around you, perhaps even without noticing it!
I'm gonna post my ol'pic again, and make sure that you know who I am!
And 16 years later...
I took a few more pics today. Just to show you my Metallikid! Here's my baby, Martin. He's 20 months old, and seems to love the whole Reload album.
Enjoy your break, take care, see you at the next show!
Jess

Re: For The Boys>> It's time to say goodbye...
You no go! You stay!
Ok fine, so it has been two years. I guess you deserve a break. I'm pleased to have seen you three times on your Madly in Anger tour, wish I could have seen them all! Most of all, I'm sure you're sad you won't be able to meet any more Metallichicks for at least a little while. What will you do without all the 40 page threads to read! You'll just have to find something to occupy your time until the next tour
I just want to say thanks, and as the "head chick" around here, I know that the Metallichicks are the biggest, most loyal group of fans you've got! You should feel honored to have these girls on your side!
And to keep you entertained until your next tour, I've included a picture of myself going down Splash Mountain. (I'm the redhead in the MOP shirt!)
Don't forget about us, and we'll all see you soon!
--Raquel
Edit: P.S. I'm sorry for passing out at your concert in San Diego on the 24th and having to be pulled over the barrier and carried out of the arena! I guess you were just too metal for me! Yeah, that and I hadn't had anything to eat or drink in over 12 hours, so that could have been a contributing factor as well. Oh well, I only missed two songs before they released me and I fought my way back up to the rail! Best concert ever, except for fact that when your goons pulled me over the barriers, the back of my pants didn't come with me, and the whole floor and half the arena got a nice long peak at my undies! The price a Metallichick pays for a great show!

Re: For The Boys>> It's time to say goodbye...
Hey guys -
Thanks for giving us such an amazing tour and SKOM. You rocked us HARD!!!
It was so exciting meeting you all in Calgary (May 6).
Lars, thank you for being so much fun and such a good sport with the Metchicks thread (hopefully you'll be reading this one too). Everyone here was so thrilled that Metchicks made it on MetonTour. You truly are the most charming man I have EVER met (you really are my favourite) . It was so surreal watching you play - I kept thinking 'I just met him' (I couldn't stop smiling). I saw the concert with my sister and brother-in-law and we were all mesmerized by your drumming. You ROCK!!!
James, you are a force to be reckoned with on stage. You're an element all unto yourself (water, air, earth, fire, and Hetfield!). I became semi-mute when I met you. We spoke about Kirk's smudgy signature on my Ride the Lightning cd (and other things I don't even remember!). I just want to say that a member of my family went through struggles similar to your own and didn't survive them. I am so proud of you for conquering your demons. In SKOM, I was amazed at your transformation throughout the movie. You seem so much 'lighter' now. Thank you for sharing that with us .(Btw, I love your tats!)
Kirk, you are so sweet and have a great sense of humour (I loved some of the comments you made in SKOM). Thank you for signing my Ride the Lightning cd. The solo in Fade to Black really is my favourite - it sounds like hope coming out of Pandora's Box. I'm so happy to hear there will be solos on the next album. We Metchicks could petition the other guys in the band if they change their minds, just come to www.metallichicks.com. We're here to help . Seriously, the gals here LOVE you!
Rob, Wow! What a performer! I hope you enjoyed the tour as much as we all did. It was so cool meeting you too - you're so friendly and relaxed. Thanks for carrying the Metchick thread for the WHOLE meet & greet in Calgary - you were the only one who didn't have a PA or bodyguard to hold it for you (you're so great ). I hope you had a chance to read it - you have lots of fans over here (there are threads just about YOU...doesn't it make you a little bit curious?).
One more thing, I don't know if this happens with other bands, but through being a fan of yours, I have met some really wonderful, life-long friends. 'MetalliLand' in all its forms is a very good place to be.
Happy Holidays, have a relaxing break and don't forget about us.
Hugs and Kisses,
Jane

Re: For The Boys>> It's time to say goodbye...
It was a pleasure to have met all of you in Norfolk, VA (April) at the Meet & Greet. I knew pretty much nothing about you guys (with the exception of my younger brother driving me nuts as a teenager with your music )
My "brother" ended up taking me to see you guys in Vegas in March as a surprise for my birthday because I had a seen a country instumental with this Gorgeous bass player in it that I had to find out more about! (single?) Who now happens to be your bass player! IT WAS THE BEST SHOW I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO. So, now even though I still have a huge crush on Rob...I am also a fan. I admire the changes that you have gone through. Especially James. You guys far surpassed my expectations from the warm way you treat your fans to the fact that you have laid everything out in the open, for everyone to see and feel no need to apologize...I think that is great. (Except Robert...we know NOTHING about you....and as much as I would love the answers to some of my questions....you are a private person and obviously protect the people you love from the "bad part" of the industry....and I really admire that too....
I have met a few really wonderful people through this whole experience, have seen two GREAT shows, traveled 3000 miles to one of them just to meet Rob...crazy as I may have been to do it...I am glad I did. Enjoy your time off. Can't wait to hear what comes next. Be safe!

Re: For The Boys>> It's time to say goodbye...
What more can I say but you guys kick a**! You guys are the best at what you do! I've been a loyal fan since 1986 and have had a crush on KIRK since way back then too! I had the great experience to see you guys three times in one week.......Oct. 19, 20, & 22! Had an amazing time at all the shows! Got on the rail for the show on the 20th and was in pure heaven the whole time! You guys deserve a much needed break, but don't stay away for too long.........cause the Metallichicks will miss you badly! We'll be getting Metallica withdrawal! And thanks to you guys, I have met some great friends thru this board. KIRK, I want to wish you a belated Happy Birthday......love ya baby! And by the way, KIRK, you are the SEXIEST, MOST GORGEOUS GUY IN THE WHOLE WORLD! And when you play your guitar, you drive me WILD! Take care guys, hope to see you rockin again real soon!

Re: For The Boys>> It's time to say goodbye...
James- You are the hottest old guy in the world! Nah, you're not old, but time has sure treated you well -- INCREDIBLY well You get this young chick's heart beating every time Keep on doing whatever you're doing, 'cause it's working!
Ok 'nough with the sappy ****e...
Larsy- You are so cute! Everytime I see you I just want to pinch your cheeks! You seem like an awesome dude, and if I could hang out with anyone in the world, It'd be you, hands down. PS, Dave Mustaine is a ****face, but you already knew that.
Roberto- Hey man, love the crab walk! You get a lot of flack for it on that official Metallica forum, but what do you expect from a bunch of ****-flinging ****heads, and we Metallichicks love Your crabwalk, so keep on doing it! We're more important than the offical forum anyways.
Kirkie- We should go out for sushi sometime. No really, sushi and heavy metal are very high on my list of things to do in the next hour! You're awesomeness goes without saying, but I'll say it anyways -- you're awesome! And you have great hair. What more could anybody ask for? Sushi, awesomeness, great hair. The world is in ballance!
Love you all so much, see you next go around! Take care of yourself, don't fight, don't slam doors, don't break things, don't scream the F-word in James' face (Lars!), don't eat yellow snow, don't kill each other, don't pass out on airplains, and don't forget about the Metallichicks (yeah, like your really could)!
YOURS TRULY AND ALWAYZZZZ
Cynthia, The official unoffical Princess of the Metallichicks
