Images
Hello.
I tried to PM XxRaquelxX but her Inbox was full. So apologies for making this topic.
dachophouse who has posted several times at this board has been reporting slow images and pages loading.

As this can be caused by a number of things I just wanted to check with your members whether they had similar slowness so we can identify a problem if there is one?

I've never had a problem with images loading, however I have a high speed modem. If there is a problem, it's probably due to large graphics being posted combined with dial-up modems. That's my guess.

The first step is actually selecting an image you would like to use as an avatar. You can use any picture you like, and the board will automatically resize the image to the 60x60 pixel limitation. If you would like to choose from a list of pre-made avatars, here is a bunch:

Once you have selected the picture you would like to use, click on "control panel" at the top of the board. It will direct you to a menu. From that menu, you need to select "Miscellaneous settings." From there, you will see a box to type in an address for an avatar. You must type in your selected image's URL address into that box. Every image on the internet has a URL address. To find that address, right click on the image and select "properties" at the bottom of the menu. From there you will see "http://www..." Highlight that address with your mouse and right click. A menu will appear, and then select "copy." You can then click on the avatar box in your miscellaneous settings menu and paste that address into that box, again by right clicking and hitting paste.
