well this should have gone on the old thread but as we can't post on there any more...here the all new Jason thread!
and here's my post which i was going to make on the old thread.....
once there was a newkid…..
he was the choosen one……
enthusiastic was one word for him…..
music is his life…the fans soon learnt
they love his backup vocals…..
and his energy…..
soon it was time to move on….
 
then came the dudettes…..
and all us dudettes just made 1000 pages!
Ok that was the first memory!..now for the next..anyone remember this?
Application for the job of official Drooling dudette for one Mr Jason Newsted
Job description:
Not much to it really, all you have to do is post as many pictures of the man himself in one day as you can, and then sit with a nice alcoholic drink, a few snacks, a selection of takeaway menu’s, a telephone and drool away!
Hours of work:
The hours for this job are flexible it all depends on how many hours a day can you handle? Past experience has shown most dudettes work 24hrs per day, 7 days a week.
Location:
A relocation allowance will not be paid, as this job can be done from any pc with a monitor.
Fellow workers:
Other worker employed to do this job may wish to speak to you from time to time, so having msn helps, but not essential.
Job benefits:
You’ll be looking at Jason Newsted pictures all day, what more do you want?
Now for the harder bit a few questions to answer:
Section 1 about your self:
Are you?
1. Male
2. Female
3. Twin’s
4. Triplets (if answering yes to this question, no need to answer any further questions!...don’t ask why, you should know the answer!)
Age group:
1. 0-16 (please don’t answer any more questions, your below the legal age limit!)
2. 16-30
3. 31-50
4. 50 – 70
5. 70 +…(hmmmmmm!)
Section 2 - About the man himself!:
What is it you love about him?
1. Eyes
2. Smile
3. The hair!
4. Everything, you could just pick one thing!
Answer the next questions in no more than 100 words…
Where would you take Jason on a date (keep it clean!..the next question will reveal all!)
Where would you head after your perfect date?...(now you can be as rude as you like!)
Section 3 – About the job!
Do you?
1. Post as many pictures as you can in one go.
2. Post one picture at a time.
3. Post a few pictures, little and often.
Posted pictures, do you?
1. Scroll through all the pictures as fast as you can, just in case anyone has posted any new ones.
2. Take your time and carefully, look at each picture for as long as you can, studying every little detail.
What do you do when you notice something about a picture, that you never noticed before?
1. Laugh at yourself.
2. Log onto msn as quickly as possible, to see if any fellow workers are logged on so you can tell them without even saying hello.
3. Think to yourself, well if I never tell anyone, they will never know I didn’t know until now.
4. Make a new post about it, along with the picture, well why not it helps your post count!
A fellow worker post a picture you are not really to keen on, do you?
1. Not reply to their post.
2. Lie and say you love it.
3. Admit you don’t like it, and then proceed to post a few hundred you do like, so you don’t have to look at it.
4. Look at it time and time again, just to make sure, it’s not one you do like.
After a drooling over the pictures, you are left online by yourself do you?
1. Pick a few pictures and write some captions for them.
2. Go back to the start of the thread, and go through each page very carefully.
3. Go make a few stills and post them, it’s been a while since new pictures were posted, so why not.
4. Go to bed for a few hours sleep, well you’ve been in front of the pc for the last 364 days and nights, it’s about time you had a break.
5. Call all your fellow dudettes to wake them up and get them back online, it’s not as much fun when you’re alone.
You now have a number of photobucket accounts do you:
1. Load your pictures as you save them.
2. Arrange your pictures in different albums.
3. Have different accounts for different pictures, e.g., live, stills etc.
4. You started off trying to keep them in some sort of order but now you’ve got to many and they are all over the place, you’ve given up as you know exactly where they all are.
A fellow dudette has used your favourite picture for her siggy picture do you?
1. Have two windows open, one to drool on, and one just showing the siggy picture.
2. Try to design your own siggy picture using the same picture.
You have a selection of personal favourite pictures, how often do you post them?
1. Daily, I won’t be able to get through the day without seeing them at least once.
2. As often as I can!
3. Weekly, it’s only fair on the fellow dudettes.
4. Monthly, you feel they are just for you.
During your annual sleeping break your PC fails, nothing you do can make it work, do you?
1. Run out without remembering to get dressed and buy a new PC as quickly as possible, if you can’t get online soon, your will get mayor withdrawal symptoms.
2. The nearest internet café is at the end of the street, you head there in your pj’s, order a new PC online, and makes sure the installation guys know where to find you, as you won’t be moving home until the new PC is up and running.
3. Roll over and go back to sleep, well you’ve worked hard for the last 124723 years, it’s about time you had an extended break.
That’s is!....all questions done! Just post your completed application on the Jason thread at Metchicks, and wait for your application to be processed, all application will be treated in the same manner, and one picture posted at the end of each application would be appreciated by me, all application will be processed and answered in the next seven days. All decisions made by the Dudette selection board (Newkid1986, just as Jason wasn’t available personally) are final, but as I am a fellow dudette, no bad decisions will be made.
Oh and one last thing, about the pay! ..please note the answer to the job benefits!

Well, I wasn’t here from the start, I think I came in on page 200-something, but from my very first post, I felt right at home, and this place really is my second home!

Girls, those posts are wonderful. Ok, I am gutted also that we lost the original thread. It's sad. But here's to new beginnings, right? Or should I say Newsted beginnings?
I just don't know what to say, it's so weird not having to click on the last page posted since there is only just this one at the moment. 
But Friday night, I'm so excited for the Angela Stephens Freedom Festival! That'll also be a great way to add poages and pics to this, Jase:The Sequel!

All I know, is that reading that application memory you posted (lol), reminded me of how new I was back then, yet how right away I felt like a part of this family here. And now, all these months later, all I can think of is how in the world did I cope in life before I met you? I was talking with my counsellor, and I told her how coming here, and chatting with you on msn is the one constant thing whether I'm depressed or manic that makes me so happy and keeps me going. (So naturally, she tells me to keep it up....as if I'd ever stop!)
One of these days, like in the dream I had a few nights ago (and woke up smiling and wishing it were true), I will get on that plane and visit you! (In my dream I took a boat...wtf), And your poor hubby will not know what to do with the two of us (except hand over the credit card lol!)
When we first started chatting, who knew we had so much besides Jase in common? But he is the one thing (ok, he's not a THING but you know what I mean) that brought us together, and I am so grateful.
I'm so proud of you hon, you're taking a big step in your life right now, and it takes alot of guts to start your own business, I know that. But yours will do great because you do beautiful work, and you put your heart into it because you love what you do. And you are a survivor, putting up with your job in the last few months. Not just because of my or anyone else's support, but because you are an amazing person. And I'm so thankful that I've met you. Luv ya hon!
