 THIS IS WHY METALLICHICKS WAS INVENTED
People sometimes ask me why in the world female Metallica fans could possibly need their own site. They say "Are you trying to imply other sites are only for guys?" I always respond that there is a lot of prejudice towards female Met fans, and that we are underrepresented in the Metal and Metallica community. They then give me a "Yeah, right" attitude and drop it.
Well, check out this PM I got over on the Metallica Message board just a few hours ago. It totally proves my point.

I wish I wasn't banned so I can defend all the metallica females. I don't see how girls can't be real fans, I mean to be honest I think girls are bigger fans of the band because they talk more about them and they tend to be more obsessed with the band (and I'm not saying it's a bad thing). I think people are just haters and they are probably just like Fixxxer, they get jealous because the band that the guys love is attracting so many women and they wanna start flame wars just because they wanna claim they're the biggest or better fan. Of coarse though I really don't know how sex can become an issue when it comes to who are the biggest fans.

Besides who are those freaks to decide who are metallica's real fans and who isn't? I'll pick the metallichicks over the guys in metclub and metallica.com boards any day.

What a numnut.
You know what else I hate? Males that boil our appreciation of the band down to sex and us lusting after the band.
Because yeah, the only reason I buy and listen to Metallica CDs is because the members jump out of the pack and bang you like pornographic jackrabbits.
