big headphones, small mp3 player

alrighty girls, this is exactly what I want to buy: a pair of big headphones cause I don't feel comfortable using in-ear-plugs and enjoy looking like a nerd and a small mp3 player with about 512 mb.

Recommendations anyone?
Are there players that size which are not run by batteries? Because bis headphones exhaust batteries pretty soon, so I'd like to be able to plug it into the socket somewere to recharge it.

I'm not sure, I'm not big on the MP3 players, but don't they come with adaptors? So in the event you exhaust your batteries you can just plug it in somewhere and still have music whilst the batteries charge. Mind you..you aren't always where an outlet is..maybe just lug around a pack of batteries haha or rechargable ones..there is something, I know it but my mind is drawing a blank

I recommend you Creative Zen Player. They have really great sound quality and have great memory. You can charge it via adaptor and its battery can go for 15-20 hours non-stop. I know these things without researching!

Thanks for answering. I have not made my mind up yet - those Zen Players are pretty expensive! I can get a 512 MB one for about 90-95 euros....hmmm....
I really don't know.

At walmart.com they have a 512mb Siren MP3 player. It's an mp3 player, radio, voice recorder, it has all sorts of equalizer settings and has an MMC slot so when you run out of memory, all you have to do is insert more memory. It only costs $69.99 too. There's not really an mp3 player I know of that can handle big headphones, they're all built for earbuds. If you're not comfortable wearing earbuds then buy the wrap around kind. Besides, I like the earbuds, big headphones are annoying and they get in your way.

I know it's not what you want but I'm a big big fan of the iPod range. I had a shuffle for a while before I upgraded to my mini. It has 800 songs on it, and I love it!

The reason I'm not wanting earbuds is because I have tinnitus and the in-ear-plugs "close" your ear - I could explain it much better in German, what it comes down to is that it's both uncomfortable and it posibly increases the volume of your tinnitus sound. Not good.
And I like big headphones, they're cool. (Being a nerd, lol.)

But them using up to much power is a problem, really. Like, if the description says the player can run for 18 hours....then how long does ist with big headphones?
