They sighed softly and kissed eachother for a good while, dressing with reluctance for dinner of order out burgers. Kirk was awake, and watching a movie. Lars and James were playing cards, not fighting as not to interrupt their snogging.
"Mmmm...Cliff that was Lovely."
Cliff nuzzled under her chin, smiling softly and kissing at her neck.
"I'm glad you liked it."
She bit down on her lower lip, looking up at him in debate. Should she tell him?
'I mean...He deserves to know...what if I get pregnant...? Oh God I can't be thinking like this...He has to know, that way I'll know whether I'll be alone until the end of time.'
"Babe? You okay?"
Blinking she snapped out of it, looking up and smiling nervously.
"Cliff? Can I talk to you on the beach?"
He got up, nodding and helping her up. They shut the door behind them, walking with their fingers laced in eachother's.
"What's wrong...?"
"Cliff I don't know how to explain it...but...Alex and I actually live up to our Nick names the Spooky Twins."
Cliff tilted his head with a blithe smile, kissing her cheek.
"And in English that means, 'Okay, me and Alex are a little weird.' Right?"
She wiped a tear away from her eye, sniffling and smiling weakly.
"Little is an understatement love..."
"C'mon, it can't be as bad as Kirk and his obsession with Toys."
Cliff blinked on not seeing Vanessa walking next to him anymore, making him panic slightly.
"Nessa...? Where'd you go? Nessa?!"
She frowned a bit, hating to do this to him, but she didn't know any other way to tell him. A skinny black kitten sat down on a large rock near by, looking up and meowing softly. Cliff blinked down at the kitten, quirking a brow and looking down at the sand, seeing Vanessa's foot prints walking to the rocks and stopping, confusing him a little.
"Nessa where are you? This isn't funny, if that's what you're thinking!"
Blinking up at him she wrinkled her nose and swat at his foot, wonderring how somebody could be that dense.
"Cliff, Look, don't just See."
Cliff blinked down at her, looking a bit confused before he went out on a limb.
"Nessa...?"
"Oh good, you Found me."
She smiled and sat back down, curling her tail around her feet a bit. Cliff gently picked her up, looking at her almost sadly.
"Ness...wh? What exactly are you? I'm not trying to offend you or anything, but I just wanna know."
Sitting in his palm she smiled weakly, nuzzling against his chin faintly.
"Well...Alex and I are called the Spooky twins because we can kinda see the future, it's really unclear sometimes, and obviously change form...Don't get angry Cliff, I really trust you...that's why I'm telling you."
"Vanessa...open up a sec. I love and care about you...nothin's gonna change that. Doesn't matter what shape you're in, what kind of visions you have...I love you."
Squirming under his kiss assult she giggled a bit and squirmed out of his hand, dropping onto the sand and landing silently on her four paws.
"C'mon...I wanna show you how me and Alex got here. I'll breathe for Both of us."
Cliff looked nervous, especially as she took his shirt off and peeled down to her bathing suit. She took his hand, wading into the chilly water until they were both in to their waists. She was almost up to her chest, but that would be better anyway. Telling Cliff to stay there she backed up until she was in up to her neck, taking her bathing suit top off and tying it around her wrist so she wouln't lose it. Cliff watched curiously, shiverring heavily on something soft but slick rubbing against his legs. She kissed his cheek, telling him to open his eyes. He winced them open, blinking and laughing nervously.
"You swam from Edinburgh...?"
"No...Flew quarter of the way, swam the rest...Alex did anyway, he carried me."
Cliff marveled, gently touching her tail and making her giggle a bit. He smiled, kissing the soft scales that trailed from her waist up her stomach, small slender fins on her back and wrists, one behind each ear and one running down the back of her tail. He float on his back, kissing her and sighing happily. She gave a cheeky, ***** of a grin and pulled him up into her scaly lap, letting him sit so he wouldn't have to sit freezing on his own in the cold water. Cliff blinked but smiled, kissing her a bit and thanking her quietly. She stiffened up suddenly, hearing foot steps.
"Shxt...it's James..."
"How can you tell?"
"Who else walks around with a quarter full Vodka bottle?"
Cliff chuckled and nodded, kissing her forehead.
"That's James. I'll be right back."
She watched him wade out of the water, wringing his hair out.
"Hey man, what're you doin' wanderring out here? Don't want you to fall into the ocean and drown!"
James chuckled, raking his hair back calmly.
"I'm sober dude...Promise. Just wanted to get out for a minute."
"Well...just me and Nessa out here, having a swim."
James stretched, shrugging and shucking his shirt off. His jeans were ripped at the knees, so he just ripped the rest of the legs off after kicking his shoes off. Cliff smacked himself in the forehead, sighing heavily and seeing Nessa about fourty feet from James.
"Shxt...shxt!"
Blinking she watched Cliff wade back in, trying to distract James and tell her something. She frowned, biting on her lip again and shrugged, figuring if she would be hanging around then James had the right to know. Grinning cheekily she slid under the glassy surface of the black water, running her tail against James' legs to make him yelp and jerk his legs closer to his body, floating on his back with a crept out look.
"The hell was that...?!"
"James relax, you big frady cat."
Cliff laughed nervously, scratching at the back of his head.
"It was just Nessa..."
James' jaw fell open, and he was thanking that the water was Cold.
