Welcome Home
Ok, this is my very first fan fic, and I was pushed to write it AND post it in here by Michi (it's my and Michi's story)  so.. I promised her to post it here for you guys, hope you enjoy and.. try to be as nice as you can  I might keep it coming here we go:

It was the 18th november 1988 and Anna stood in front of the door of this house she’d never seen before. Man, she hadn’t seen Kirk for ages! Now he was all grown up, well, 26 years old, in this successful metal-band, and was inviting his childhoodfriend to his birthday party. The funny thing was that they shared the same birthday. All the way back to the age of four years, they’d loved hanging out together on their birthdays, and as they got around 7-8 they held their birthday parties together. They decided to be the bestest friends EVER!
But Annie hadn’t seen much of Kirk lately. Only glimpses of him on TV or in magazines. Last time she heard from him was when Kirk called her and asked her what she’d think of bringing an old habit of celebrating a birthday together back to life. Anna was of course more than happy about it. Kirk told her to come around his place, and he’d invite her to her own birthday party and they could catch up on the last few months.
She rang the door bell and waited for an answer. Kirk had asked her to come an hour before all the guests so they could talk privately and so he could make her help making everything ready for the party itself. Kirk came to the door and a huge grin spread over his face.
“Anna! You’re here!” He jumped on her an squeezed her tight. Anna hugged him tightly back and kissed his cheek. “Hey Kirk! Happy birthday duder!” She couldn’t help letting out a giggle. “Happy birthday right back at ya! Man, come on in, come on in. I’m so glad to see you!” They walked inside and Kirk closed the door. “Just make yourself at home in here, I’ll get us something to drink. What do you want?” He stood there checking out his childhood friend he hadn’t seen for a long time. “You know what I want Kirk.” Anna said and winked. Kirk laughed “Soda it is my friend.”
She looked around in the living room. It was nice and cosy. “Nice place Kirk. Mind if I move in with ya?” she yelled and laughed. Kirk came out from the kitchen “Yeah, if you clean the house every single day, make food and serve, then you may stay as long as you want!” He handed her the soda and they both laughed. “Yeah you’d like that wouldn’t you? Bugger!” She smiled at him and he laughed and sat down on the couch. He patted the hand on the couch beside him “Sit down, sit down. I want to hear what you’ve been up to lately. And if you bought me any birthday present!” A huge grin spread over his face once again.
Anna laughed, sat down besides him and pinched him in the side. “Yeah I actually bought you one. Not that you need much! Got loads of stuff already.” He laughed “Oh no, you’ve got it all wrong sweetie! I don’t get to see you all day long as we used to. I miss that.” He smiled, as sweet as ever. Anna had loved his smile from the day they met. “My god Kirk, these curls of yours are getting out of hand. Maybe I should’ve bought you a straightener so you’d look like when we were 7!” They burst out laughing. She loved his curls.
“So tell me. Still got that boring job at the supermarket?” He asked as he turned in the couch so they were facing each other. “No, I’ve got a new job actually. Great job! I’m working in a record store. I LOVE it! I get to listen to all the music I want, and sometimes I get discount of the CD’s. Listened to ‘And Justice For All’ the other day, and I’ve got to be straight with you Kirk,” She looked seriously at him, and saw that he looked rather surprised and was not expecting good news. “I ****ing LOVE it!” And they laughed hard. “Man, I was thinking, ‘Oh no, she thinks the album sucks. Please say something else, than it sucks.’ I’m glad you like it, sweetie! I can give you autographs if you like.” He smirked and winked at her as she laughed.
“Kirk, you know I love your music! To bad you got into a successful band. Could have just stayed in Exodus” She started laughing as she saw the surprised and ironically upset face on Kirk. “I’m just saying darling, that if you’d stayed in Exodus we would get to see each other more often. Although I love the idea that you’re in Metallica. I’ve got a famous best friend now!” A huge grin spread over Anna’s face and Kirk laughed.
“And you’re getting along with the new bass player, Newsted?” she looked at him, afraid what the reaction might be. There were two years since Cliff died, but she could tell that Kirk still missed him. A lot. “Yeah, I am. He’s a cool guy you know. We’re giving him a bit of a prank/bashing time as a newbie. But nothing serious, I promise!” He added as she gave him a sharp look, but then she smiled. “Well, you’d better Kirk Lee Hammett!” “Man, I hate when you use my full name.” He shook his head, smiling though. Anna laughed “Well you tend to use my full name too you know, so I’m just getting right back at ya.”
He let out a giggle “Yeah I remember when we used to be angry at each other when we were younger and used each others full names. Like, I was angry because you were busy swinging with Rebecca and you couldn’t come right away I’d say-“ He turned his voice to a childish squeel “- ‘Anna Maria Jackson, if you don’t come now, I won’t be your bestest friend anymore!’ and you’d answer right back-“ still in the squeely childish voice “-‘Kirk Lee Hammett, can’t you see I’m taking a swing, I’ll be there in a moment!’” They both laughed.
“Wow. That was 20 years ago you know.” Kirk smiled to himself looking at the floor. “Yeah, but it still seems like yesterday.” He took her hand but was still looking at the floor. As he took Anna’s hand she got this weird feeling inside. She wondered for moment what it was, but it passed by. They were silent for a moment. Then Kirk spoke “So, what about my birthday present?” He was smiling and his face was just glowing. “You’ll see. We’ll open both our presents at once, with all the people at the party presence. Is that okay or can’t you wait? Judging by the look on your face you can’t wait!” They both laughed.
“No I’ll wait. I’ve gotta introduce you to all the lot. You, of course, know James and Lars. No need of introducing you to them, unless you wanna make the first impression again?” He laughed and winked at her as she pinched him in his side. “This is a nasty habit of yours!” She giggled “Aww sweetie I thought you liked it.” She winked at him and took his hand and kissed it. “I promise I won’t do it in the party.” Kirk smiled at her and kissed her cheek “Good,” he said as he stood up from the couch, “Because I think that’d be kinda weird that you’d be pinching me in the sides from time to time.” She laughed and got up to and followed Kirk into the kitchen.
“So what do ya want me to do, Kirky?” He winced at the nickname. “What? You don’t like it?” She giggled. “It’s okay if you call me that in private, but not in the party, okay hon?” She laughed “Yes sir! So want me to take the food to the living room?” “Yeah that would be great...” The doorbell rang and Kirk got to the door letting some people in. “Duuuuude! Happy birthday man!” James and Lars had arrived.

Sorry if there are many spelling mistakes, sometimes I tend to forget to write the words I have in mind or I tend just to don't have any clue how the word is written. Icelandic you see

wasn't sure if the lot would hate it or like it, so I was kinda afraid 
but not now! I'm gonna start on the next chapter right away
