Hey there,
Since a few of you asked for these lyrics, they are now online in both Hebrew and Yemenite. Check it out!

The lyrics need some proofreading in both the Yemenite and Hebrew.

We'll need someone who is familiar with the lyrics. There are "end letters" in the middle of a word and vice versa, missing vowels and extraneous punctuation(?).

It would be really great if someone can use english letters so that we can know how to pronounce the words.
IE: abba shimmon kun be-u-nee ...

I have been listening to the song over and over while trying to read along and I still can't figure it out. (I guess my Yemenite is a little rusty) emoticon

You guys are so funny you crack me up.
I actually first learned the song from my Yemenite friends in high school. They sing it on Shabbis and I used to try and sing along with them, because I was good with the accent, and they liked that- an Ashkenazi english speaking kid singing in Yemenite. I always loved the songs. I love the whole middle eastern sound. They also taught me the dance they do to it called the "Da-assa". Anyway, I don't know why I'm telling you all of this. But my advice is: if you want to learn the lyrics, listen a bunch of times and try and write them down in a way you can read them and memorize them. That's how I did it from the original, sung by Tzion Golan.
Good luck.
Yehuda.

Hi, Yehuda.

Thanks for the reply.

When I sing, I prefer to accurately sing the words to a song. I also want to know what they mean. Since I'm Latino emoticon and Yemenite is not my first language, it is difficult to learn the lyrics of a song by listening to it repeatedly. So, any help you could give would be truly appreciated (sorry, I don't currently have any Yemenite friends emoticon ).

p.s. Hatzlacha raba on your Ft. Lauderdale concert. Looking forward to seeing Moshav Band in L.A. soon!!!
