Question Moshav band about Abba Shimon
Shalom shalom,
I have a question about your song "Abba Shimon"... what in the world is the language that you sang that in? It sounds to me to be Arabic, for instance "ani abi wa'anal walad" walad is boy in arabic.
but this Muslim I know said that it wasn't in Arabic she didn't think (she's not fluent) because of the "v" that was in there. I just emailed her the transliteration and she said she wasn't good with translits.
I'm dying... I need to know what language that is!
You also sang "salam" on one of the other songs - which makes me wonder about the arabic thing...

i believe it's Aramaic. If I've got this straight, one of the band's friends taught them the song, and they decided to put it on an album.
