Re: Power Leveling?
I've done my best not to fall to the dark side of Haniwa collecting, but I definitely try to keep all the ones I get. They're so cute ^_^
Anyway, looking back on this thread, I more or less found ways to powerlevel myself. I discovered everything on my own, but I was by no means the first to do so. So I guess it's kinda general common sense. Here's what I did though:
Note: I recommend starting with Homard for steps 1-6.
1. Work on a ranged skill until you can cover at least a "+" shape.
2. Go to CoT4 and kill the boxes over and over until levels get really slow. (I think this happens around 70.)
3. Work on some weapon fusion. Use CoT1 if you can.
4. When you're strong enough, go get Prier's first title. Don't forget your Braveheart.
5. After that, try to go kill Baal. Make sure you can Purify him. A Bustier helps. Again, don't forget your Braveheart.
6. Get at least 6 more Baals (and one extra if you want a full party of Baals storming through whatever). Using the first one helps.
7. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for whatever character you want to level (unless it's Homard).
8. Work on that ranged skill up until it covers a square shape (with or without a hole in the middle, whatever makes you feel comfortable). The level 7 checker-board shape works too if you want. It's just annoying to set up and will cost you a bit more time.
9. Pull out 7 Baals and the character you want to level with their best equipment in a low level dungeon. I recommend Grave of Fools because the zombie there won't move at all, so you can stay as long as you like.
10. Have the Baals give 5 attack boosts to the character and have the other two use AoE defense cuts on all Baals.
11. Have your character attack the Baals. Continue until the Baals are dead, having two Baals refresh the attack boost effect to max and the other 5 weaken eachother's defense each turn.
12. Leave to the World Map, save, and repeat steps 9-11 as needed.
And there's my wonderful 12-step program. As you go on, you can increase enemy levels and capture stronger Baals to beat up on. If you can't initially kill a group of Baals, get a group or Gorgons or something from the same level and beat up on them for a few levels.
