Re: Digital Devil Saga
Characters can't fight in Human form? They can! In fact, some boss battles are better resolved as Human Forms.
My only problems (Two) with this game is this:
-******* frequent boss battles.
-******* reliance on weakness exploits.
In fact, in the case of the latter, I game over in almost every single boss fight at least once until I find its weakness, after which I breezed through the fight >_> Balance? probably, but freedom? Not there. A certain type of enemy HAS to be defeated in a certain way or you'll game over. This makes for pretty repetetive gameplay.
But I still grind through it for the story.

Re: Digital Devil Saga
I don't mean to insult the game or the people that like it, but I've played this game through (maybe about 3 hours into the game) and I can't seem to find the greatness of the game. It's the most standard, turn-based RPG that exists to this day. I'd like to point out again, "too standard". The only thing I've experienced from the battle system is exchanging regular attacks the with the enemy. (ex. Player Turn - Attacks - end player turn, Enemy Turn - Attacks - end enemy turn, etc.)
As far as the story goes, it's exellent. A great work of gaming, but is not worthy in my collection.

Re: Digital Devil Saga
Thanks for the recommendation! But I somehow feel that it will be quite a while before I touch anything Shin megami Tensei for the moment!

One of the best aspects of the cutscenes is that the people didn't look like they were puppets. All too often in 3D games, the characters look like Puppets, and when they interact (touch each other/whatever), it looks unnatural... but it didn't here.
I agree. They're seem....Alive.
