I was thinking about importing the DS, but I guess it doesn't run through my mind a lot. It's safe since the games or the DS for that matter don't have a regional code, which I thought was pretty cool. Maybe I'll end up importing one afterall...

As far as I know, I don't think a handheld has ever had region encoding...

They haven't. Even the original Game Boy lacked regional restrictions. I knew someone that had a Japanese game that they played on an NA Game Boy.

Still holding my breath for the other Marl Kingdom games.

Yeah. I always thought that was great about Nintendo's handhelds. If only they'd done it with their consoles more quickly.

I'm still uber happy with my DS, Its tough to play Metroid Prime Hunters (One my cart is fjucked, but..) because the DS while big, is still a bit small for my hands. I have to set a little place to set it so my hand goes underneath more easily... lol Its kind of pathetic. But, I've got massive hands, and thats always been a pain in the ass for handheld gaming (The SP was hell on me, I ended up playing most of Final Fantasy Tactics with one hand... Meaning I wrapped my fingers around the entire thing and played the D pad with my pinky and the buttons with my thumb, ::laughs:emoticon

I'd recommend it to anyone. Its got basically everyone but a hardcore RPG. I don't know when its going to get one, the market for the next few months looks pretty low for that kind of game. I figure around Fall for any good RPG, although the Advance Wars Dual Strike is frigging ridiculously awesome. I've had trouble continuing the Flower Festival (On Animal Crossing : Wild World) because of it.

As I said before -- Contact.

If not, Wizardry Asterisk, assuming it ever gets a release Stateside.

[edit] Ooooh ooooh, I forgot about Metal Saga DS. With Atlus publishing the kickass PS2 version, there is a pretty good chance we'll see the DS version get a release here as well.

I had to stop playing hunters. I have Rhumatoid Arthritis in my hands and arms, and it was screwing it up bad (Having to depress the shoulder button while moving the D-pad and clutching a stylus... Not good for the hands.)

But, I'm playing Lost Magic now and Wow... fun as hell.

NISA Forums are pretty slow, there's a pretty small select group of us posting. Do you guys post anywhere else?

Yeah I have a DS with Advance Wars, Bomberman, Mario 64, Animal Crossing and Mario Kart. The system is great. But I recently got a PSP and it is so much better. Also the Wireless Internet on PSP is soo much better then just online play for the DS.

Us (superior emoticon ) DS owners are getting a web browser from Opera. I expect it to be better than the PSP's solely because of the touch screen's virtual keyboard.

What online play for the PSP? I know its WiFi enabled but what games are actually worth playing online? I've not run across any and have been severly disappointed by the PSP Games that have come out in general. (With only one or two exceptions)

Now only is the DS Getting the Opera Web Browser, but we're also getting a 4 GIG HD With a Virtual PC console on it to allow us to play Music, store Pictures, Run Emulators, and do basically anything with it.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7785079&type=product&productCategoryId=pcmcat45400050008&id=1142290252947

Basically that means:
A) the PSP no longer will have features beyond the DS.
B) It will be cheaper (150$ US) than getting a memory stick. (Right now, BestBuy only carries 2 Gig Memory sticks for 119$ US, to get the same you'd be spending 240, and have to switch between sticks.
C) It comes with a PC Utility thing, which my understanding is you can load personal data and run .exe's on it. Meaning Emulators without having to crack the firmware.
D) Something I didn't think about till just now. If you put the GBA ROM's onto the utility you can just run them and play them straight from there. Which is powerful awesome.

Just something to think about.

Wow, I had no idea that there was any plans for a release of a 4 gig hd for the DS. That is awsome.
