Re: Do you DS?

I bought a black DS lite 2 days ago as friends were making me jealous (and making me regret buying a PSP) with theirs.

You just can't ignore all them awesome games for DS, in contrast to the PSP with it's only good games being PSX ports. I only have my PSP for 3/5 year or so and I already want to sell more than half of my games out of sheer dissapointment.

I bought lost magic along with my DS simply because I couldn't find castlevania anywhere. So far I've been enjoying it, it's the first RPG I've ever played that's actually kinda difficult xD

Nixonsupporter: Nope advance wars is nothing like nippon ichi's games. It's more the strategy than the RPG (if you see the RP as stat building and not as roleplaying). It's less RP than fire emblem even. But it *is* a great game and you should definitely pick it up, it's just different from N1 games.

Nippon Ichi should put games on Nintendo DS!
As if there needed to be another reason to play. :P

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow is good too!
Portrait of Ruin looks like it'll be fantastic with it's WiFi (Whatever it is)

MalcanAlunza: Y'know, it'd be pretty difficult to fit in an innovative N1 game on the DS, due to size limitations...

Anyway, I have my DS on me right now as I type this message, though it isn't on right now. I have one proper RPG on it (Tengai Makyou 2: Manjimaru) and a Mysterious Dungeon genre game as well. I'm enjoying it for the Wifi aspect of things. The PSP also appeals to me well for the RPG library but the fact is it's far too expensive to get the PSP with a decent memory stick AND some games... (HKD$1500+)

Err, it's not as if N1 couldn't comprimise. A N1 game doesn't HAVE to use fancy effects, full voice overs, cut-scenes etc. I can't see your point.

True, you could probably pull off fitting a game like Disgaea for the DS, its a matter of weither or not they can make it play as smoothly as it did on the PS2. IF N1 does make a game, its going to be a ground up design, not a flat out port. They would have to scale back on some of the features though. I'm sure they could do it if Namco can somehow fit Xenosaga I and II into a DS game.

I play my DS from time to time... Mainly for Pokemon and JUS though, I haven't really felt compelled to play any other game...

Now is NIS made a DS game on the otherhand, I'd probably get that...

If anything though, I play my PSP more, especially considering all the crazy things you've been able to do with it recently (playing PS1 games for one)

Innovative does not mean fancy effects, full voice overs, cut-scenes, etc. I never mentioned that N1 couldn't compromise, either. I just saying that it'd be rather difficult to make something appealing to the fanbase. Remember, it varies between 128 Mbit to 512 Mbit

I bought that game. It's one of the better games for the DS. Except, it could have been a little longer.
