I've had my DS (old version) for about a year now, and I love it. Best DS game I've played so far is Phoenix Wright. That game is very addicting.

I'm gonna get a DS, either in July or August. It'll be the only time before Christmas that I'll be able to afford it. Once I go back to college in fall all my money goes to transpasses and lunch.
Plus my horrid latte habits... ;;>>
Everyone I know has one but me. ><
I also want a PSP but that can wait.

Witch touching game FTW! Recently picked up...lesse, Pokemon, Etrian Odyssey. Chococoabo's Magical Mysterious Dungeon Storybook. All great titles, though Etrian Odyssey, well...it's not exactly for everyone.
I'd highly reccomend Ouendan, if you're thinking about importing, as well. Fantastic song selection and a fantastic game in general from the creator of Guitaroo Man.

Whoah? 128mb? That's more than enough!  In all seriousness, a number of my favorite games, which were complex RPGs even by today's standards, are under 50mb on their original formats. Those being SNES RPGs.
Which is nothing compared to up to 512mb (or even up to 1g now, if you believe wikipedia,) of storage on the DS. I think it's worth noting that Final Fantasy Tactics, using modern compression technology, got all the way down to about 200mb. And even if that number isn't accurate, if games can indeed be put onto 1g cards now, (though I doubt it's affordable or reliable,) that's still bigger than the original format FFT was printed on. (700mb plain ol' CD.)
What's kept a lot of previous portable strats and RPGs from being groundbreaking and living up to fan perceptions thus far has had nothing to do with storage space, but instead been mainly due to just general problems with the games themselves. The reasons FFTA fell short of being an addicting, quality addition to the FFT series had nothing to do with storage. The graphics for the game were fine, and the amount of content was perfectly acceptable. The real pitfalls of the game were purely gameplay oriented.
All in all, even if you say NIS would only be able to make a game similar in size to an SNES game, well...that seems like more than enough to me.

Yup, as I asked for a DS and Pokemon Diamond for my birthday.
Too bad I didn't ask for The World Ends with You and Rondo of Swords (or Luminous Arc), along with Pokemon Diamond.
PS: I heard that La Pucelle is good; I want to see it re-released for the DS, as I've been waiting for Rhapsody and Disgaea DS.

Yes, but in my DS I got 2 gb memory card. I filled it with La Pucelle, Rhaspody DS and Pokemon Diamond. And for vza004, thanks for welcoming me in.
